There's nothing like being woken up by a gay pride parade, and then having all the drag queens wave at your bare-ass self watching in the window. Gosh it's entertaining living on Lark.

I loved the movie "The Notebook". Was it not the cutest damn thing when Rachel Mcadams and Ryan Gosling won best kiss on the MTV Movie Awards??? They kissed and it was the cutest damn thing and "She Will Be Loved" was playing in the background. Best Kiss EVER in my opinion. If you haven't seen it tell me and can email you the clip. Too cute.

Brooke Shields, who's starring in the musical Chicago in London, on Tom Cruise and his much younger girlfriend, Katie Holmes. Earlier, Cruise made comments that attacked Shields for taking anti-depressants for severe post-partum depression. "If he wants to see Chicago, I've left him two tickets -- one adult, one child."

Mike Tyson refused to come out for a seventh round against Kevin Mcbride (who?) and basically quit. His spinmeisters are claiming he was disoriented and would have been seriously hurt if he continued. Whatever. Couldn ’ t care less. He says he ’ s retiring and turning to missionary work overseas where he can “ go to different countries to help with aid and food for people that are in dire need. ” Sure. Whatever, Mike. We believe you. Riiiiight. I wonder how long Vince Mcmahon will take before offering him a contract to join the WWE again.

Cinderella Man: Based on the true story of American boxer Jimmy Braddock, this movie is a must-see. It is an inspirational story about overcoming tremendous odds and pursuing one's passion. Russell Crowe did a magnificent job as usual and played the character so wonderfully. I'm starting to believe that Russell Crowe is one of the greatest actors of our time. Would anyone object?

The attacks continue to be so successful that even now, long after many news organizations, including The Times, have been found guilty of failing to puncture the administration's prewar W.M.D. hype, new details on that same story are still being ignored or left uninvestigated. The July 2002 "Downing Street memo," the minutes of a meeting in which Tony Blair and his advisers learned of a White House effort to fix "the intelligence and facts" to justify the war in Iraq, was published by The London Sunday Times on May 1. Yet in the 19 daily Scott Mcclellan briefings that followed, the memo was the subject of only 2 out of the approximately 940 questions asked by the White House press corps, according to Eric Boehlert of Salon.

This passage is unambiguous and refutes the weird suggestion by Michael Kinsley that the Downing Street Memo did not establish that the Bush administration had committed to war by July, 2002.

However, since my total conversion to the cause that is Grand Theft Auto, my graphics card requirements have increased somewhat, and with the imminent release of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PC, I thought I'd treat myself. I ordered it from a supplier, who shall remain nameless, and paid for Saturday delivery. This is where the problems started.

Saturday, June 11, 2005yesterday | TODAY | Tomorrow Elizabeth, You might feel a bit confused today by the mixed planetary messages. On one hand, it seems as if your window of opportunity is closing. Something is reaching its conclusion whether you are ready for this transformation or not. On the other hand, there is a powerful anticipation as the potential for creativity and love tickles your imagination. Stay with the paradox. Forcing a premature solution will stop the magic in it tracks. Intriguing. Amber and I went swimming today. We swam 20 laps and it was hella fun. Carianne and I just spent 5 hours watching anime. Let's see... Teen Titans... One Piece... Zatch Bell... Inuyasha... Samurai Champloo... and Paranoia Agent (which was fucking CRAZY). It was fun. ^ _ ^

Usually, anytime I see or read about Dick Cheney opening his mouth, my blood pressure spikes and I accelerate at 6gs into a red rage against all he represents. Sometimes he doesn't even need to open his mouth; that smirk is pretty bad by itself. But, every once in a while, he's just so ridiculous that I have to laugh. Like this: WASHINGTON - Howard Dean is "over the top," Vice President Dick

Ok, it's a ficlet based around the new series with Christopher Eccleston as the Dr, and takes place directly at the end of episode 12: Bad Wolf. If you haven't seen that yet and want to watch it I recommend you don't read this. Mind you, I doubt anyone will read this anyway. Do I even know any other DW obsessives???

Well, after driving through wrath-of-god thunderstorms from Squirell Hill to Post Gazette, and I saw one of the top 10 concerts I've ever been to. Don Henley and Stevie Nicks (no, she's not really a goat).

I walked down the long hallway towards the concert hall. Raffi was on stage, singing his heart out about Baby Beluga in the deep blue sea. The half-filled audience was clapping in time to the music. I whisper into the cell phone, "Now, Raffi. He can sing!" Phil Collins laughed and I blurted out to him, "Oh my god I saw you in July of 1978 with Genesis that kicked ass!" It all came out like one long word. I wanted to ask him what happened between him and Peter Gabriel, but my father was there, grabbing the phone from me.
