Batman Begins is amazing, go see it. Even if you can't stand this whole Katie Holmes/Tom Cruise mushy stuff going on, she's barely in it, and it doesn't have the love story element that Spider-man had, so it actually makes for a less sappy movie. This week is going to be long.

I have gotten to see a couple historic places around here. I think Missouri Town 1855 was my favorite and hoping to go back there soon when they have more activities going on. We went and saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Batman Begins this past weekend and both were good. Well I think Batman Begins was definitely my favorite out of the two. Christian Bale was the right choice in my opinion for Batman, he was great. I am going to have to own that movie when it comes out. But Mr. & Mrs. Smith was good in its own right, I think I am about the only person who like Angelina Jolie but I do. I don't care much for Brad Pitt but I thought he did alright this one.

Former chief of staff to the White House Council on Environmental Quality Phillip Cooney -- best known for his role in altering scientific conclusions in the U.S. government's climate reports -- has landed a cushy new job with Exxon-mobil, according to Scott Mcclellan at yesterday's White House Press Briefing. And what service Cooney gave! I'm just glad he was rewarded so handsomely for his efforts.

VICE PRESIDENT DICK CHENEY HAS SAID THE IRAQ INSURGENCY IS IN ITS LAST THROES. IS THAT YOUR READ? I think they 're not quite in the last throes, but I think they are very close to it. And I think that every day that goes by in Iraq where they have their own government and it's moving forward reinforces just how radical [the insurgents] are and how unwanted they are.

Okay, so there is a show on Broadway that I REALLY want to go and see:'Wicked'based on the book of the same name, which is about the Wicked Witch of the West in Oz and how she came to be wicked (which is what my icon is). On Saturday Dale said he had been thinking and wondered if I wanted to go to New York for our anniversary in November to see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! M ajor scrimping and saving having to go on, but I am SO excited. Dale got left some money from his Grandma and we shall use some of that as well. We have booked to see'Wicked'and'Spamalot'(the musical version of Monty Python's Holy Grail). Just trying to find the best hotel within our budget now (that is proving tricky).

Roommate told me that last night he dreamt he cheated on Jessica Simpson with Ashlee Simpson. He is B-list famous in his dreams. I bet he was on the cover of US Weekly and everything ("Nick: I'm Tired of the Lies"). That makes going to a Kylie concert in your dreams look like crap. I'm totally jealous.

Ed Klein ’ s new book claims Former President Bill Clinton is still cheating on his wife. I ’ d pause for dramatic effect, but no one is claiming to be surprised except Hillary. “ Hillary ’ s aides noticed that Bill seemed to grow even more reckless after his memoir MY LIFE became a big bestseller. Thanks to his record-shattering $12 million book advance plus another $10 million in speaking fees, he was rolling in money — and hubris, ” Klein writes. Read the not-so-surprising details here. (0)

DOWNING STREET DELUSIONS …. The wingnuts are getting desperate. Captain ’ s Quarters, in a nostalgic attempt to recreate the glories of Rathergate, suggests that the Downing Street Memos aren ’ t real. Why? Because Michael Smith, the reporter who got hold of them, had them retyped to protect his source and then returned the originals. Jonah Goldberg feverishly calls CQ ’ s revelations a “ must read. ”

Extraordinary efforts by the White House to scupper Britain ’ s attempts to tackle global warming have been revealed in leaked US government documents obtained by The Observer. These papers – part of the Bush administration ’ s submission to the G8 action plan for Gleneagles next month – show how the United States, over the past two months, has been secretly undermining Tony Blair ’ s proposals to tackle climate change.

Got my White Stripes tickets, and my wallet is screaming in pain. But it's all good, the show will rock. I am thinking of getting an outfit like Jack White on the cover of Get Behind Me Satan, for the show. Yay/nay? Let me know what you think.

Saw Rilo Kiley at the Wiltern tonight. Amazing as usual. The first band had a really pretty girl. She was really pretty... I think they were called The Brunettes and they 're from New Zealand or sumsing like dat. The second performer was this lady that goes by Feist. She was freaking awesome. I liked her a lot. Just her, her guitar, and her sweet loop machine. Rilo Kiley was just great. I love them. During the middle of the set, I caught Jenny Lewis's glance and waved to her. She smiled and waved back. Probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. THESE ARE TIMES THAT CA N'T BE WEATHERED AND WE HAVE NEVER BEEN BACK THERE SINCE...

Am pretty sorry that Doctor Who is over now. I wasn't sure if I was going to get into it much, especially as I didn't really watch it when I was a kid (I think I missed all the cool Doctors anyway) but each episode of this last season has sucked me in more and more. Am now convinced that an old flatmate of mine was a Slytheen as she was a bit'large'and farted a lot too! Also I liked Christopher Eccleston but am looking forward to David Tennant taking over because he's way cuter! Roll on the Christmas special!

All right, butches. Let's throw something new into the mix. Peter Parker vs Clark Kent vs Bruce Wayne vs Bruce Banner. For some reason they all get pissed at eachother, right? They 're all allowed to use their powers (and by POWERS I mean just that. Spidey can shoot his webs, Superman can fly and whatnot, Hulk can turn green, and Batman has to use his strength. No man-made assistants. Wait, that leaves Batman screwed...) Actually, scratch that. All powers/helpers (no Batmobile and no sidekicks). Chew on that for awhile. Yours, etcariel

Jeez, you ’ d think that Father Daniel and his co-conspirators would just … oh, I don ’ t know … drive a wooden stake through the recalcitrant Sister Maricica Irina Cornici ’ s heart? Or perhaps force her to kneel and put a silver bullet in the back of her head? Hey, they could even bill her family for the bullet or the stake if they really wanted to drive home their point (no pun intended, of course ….).

Americans, along with the rest of the world, are starting to wake up to the uncomfortable fact that President George Bush not only lied to them about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq (the ostensible excuse for the March 2003 invasion and occupation of that country by US forces), but also about the very process that led to war.
