Project 21 has a new, rather amusing new press release out that compares recent statements by liberals about Judge John Roberts to statements made by the left about then-judge David Souter when Souter was nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court back in 1990.

I think this is the first time that I'd ever felt like I could go back to the theaters and pay 10 bucks to watch a movie that I've already seen! "The Wedding Crashers" was just so funny. I couldn't stop laughing. Geela and I observed the weirdest things in the background like a creepy guy dancing behind Vince Vaughn or how strange Rachel Mcadam's [sp] creepy brother was staring while Owen Wilson was giving his speech. The whole day was fun! We all had our "Ronelle Moments." I think she's rubbing off on us.

Personal Note: I trust I don't offend my Australian friends. Tony Blair was meeting with Prime Minister John Howard and held the joint conference with him. Howard's strong point isn't extemporaneous speech. To say he prattles and is repetitive is what I'd reasonable observation, given how clearly Blair spoke.

A series of blasts have rocked London again, exactly two week since the London Underground bombings discussed elsewhere on this thread. Four small explosions have been reported at Shepards Bush, Warren Street and Oval tube stations and on a bus at Columbia Road. Go to www.bbcnews.com for more information on this breaking news and check back here for further analysis as the story develops.

Ok Now that you are rocking with the site in native tongue with native billing methods, you may hit another snag! Content! What some countries may like, others may loathe. In other words, not every one likes blonde hair blue eyes. You must keep your content preferences geared towards the countries'preferences.

NO, BITCHES! I REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS THING YOU CALL A'CASTING CALL'. MY WILLPOWER RULES YOU ALL. ..... FINE. But only because I'm about to go nuts with everyone elses. < 3 I think it's inevitable that as we read each other's journals we create mental pictures of each other. Post this on your own journal to find out who your friends see when they read about your life. Two Rules: 1. The person must be in the movies or on TV (but doesn't have to be an actor/actress). The person can be specific to a role (e.g. Jennifer Elhe's Elizabeth Bennet) or just the person themself.2. You have to post a link to a picture of said person in the comments.

Okay, where I have been? I just found out now that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner not only got married, but she is indeed pregnant. Not like I give a shit, but I'm just surprised that it wasn't shoved in my face a billion times since it was announced on June 30th. I check the news often enough! That Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes thing was shoved in your face enough! Just surprised the media didn't seem to hype this one up as much I guess.

One person reported to have been carrying a backpack which exploded fled the scene at Warren Street. Now armed police are reported as having gone into University College Hospital (which for the information of our international readers, is really near... yes, Warren Street). Putting two and two together, someone's going to be getting a kicking. I hope.

I kind of gave up on The Daily Show after the last election cycle after it appeared that Jon Stewart had let partisanship take over humor. At some point he got his take-on-both-sides groove back, if this exchange about Judge Roberts is any indication:

I went to laser tag with colin murphy just now, but when we got there there were no people, so we played one game against each other, but it sort of sucked, but I did win! haha, after that we went to borders and hung out there for a little bit, making fun of the CD's there, and complaining about the fact that they didn't have family guy Dvds (but they actually did, just not in the normal spot). And after that we walked over to ben and jerrys and got ice cream... mmmmm, chocolate chip cookie dough, yum... anyway and I now I'm back here.

Batman Begins - Yet again, Christian Bale proves he can ’ t act, which is fine, because neither can his love interest in the film, Katie Holmes. Michael Caine & Morgan Freeman rock, practically stealing the show, and are both in great shape for men their age. Neither Liam Neeson nor Rutger Hauer put any effort toward their roles. Cillian Murphy is a delicious villain.

This Black-and-white handout photo taken in 1924 and provided by the Smithsonian Institution, shows 24-year-old John Thomas Scopes in his first job after graduating from the University of Kentucky: Am I crazy, or do people from this era just look a lot older than people of the same age now? I remember seeing pictures of my great grandmother from when she was a slip of a 19-year-old girl and thinking, wow, she looks old! These days, 24 years old looks like Justin Timberlake. This guy, if you'd told me he was pushing 50, I would have barely blinked. Why is that? It can't really be improved nutrition, because it's not selective: people who eat for crap don't look like this at 24. Why in the last 80 years have we gotten prettier? I'm perplexed.

3) Focus the movie around the hero's internal conflicts. Comic book writers figured out long ago that the old hero-meets-evil-villain, - hero-beats villain-up plot formula gets old very quickly. The best superhero stories have always put the hero's personal conflicts in the foreground, with the action almost becoming a backdrop. Again, Spiderman is a great example, and Sam Raimi represented this aspect of the comics perfectly on screen. The audience doesn't care about Doctor Octopus threatening to blow up the city nearly as much as they care about the relationships Peter Parker has with Octavius, Mary Jane, Aunt May, and Harry Osborn.

If you 're trying to figure out what "Cresting Acrocorinthus..." is a reference to to... 1. Kudos to you! 2. No, it doesn't have anything to do with waves or a mythical whorehouse. Bah. In other news, I managed to grab a seat at my friend's place on the couch of sloth long enough to sink in and watch The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Great flick... I love that dry, subtle, yet completely whacked out humor. Bill Murray and Willem Dafoe are hysterical in this one. Highly recommended for fans of Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums, I Heart Huckabees, cheesy casio synthesizer tunes, and Portugese covers of David Bowie songs! I'm really starting to love these IMDB trivia pages lately, so here's a couple really neat things about this movie listed on its trivia page:

Back in the peloton, the Discovery team were approaching the final climb and ready to shake things up. Hincapie, Popovych, Savoldelli and Azevedo were all taking turns at the front, but they could not prevent a surprise attack from Ivan Basso (CSC). Second overall at the start of the stage, Basso ’ s move shattered a tired peloton, leaving only Armstrong, Jan Ullrich (T-mobile) and Cadel Evans (Davitamon-lotto) able to follow.

It is going to be a long day today. I slept maybe 2 hours last night and I am miserable right now. I coughed all night long and I know I kept Katrina up also. * sighi am hoping I will be 100% better by tomorrow. After work I was going to mow the yard, but I think I am going to have to take a nap. I have a family portrait I need to do at 8pm down the street, so I need to get rested for that. Katrina's mom is coming into town tonight also.'Tomorrow night will be a boys night because Katrina and her mom are going out of town for the weekend. Hmmm.. what can Blake and I do?
