I finished Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince. I won't say anything so that i don't ruin it for anyone, but i want someone else to hurry up and finish. I went to chs today. i hate that place. i needed to see mr. harrison, but the counselors'reception woman wouldn't let me. she said that i had to have an appointment and that i couldn't get an appointment until friday, which wouldn't work at all because that's the deadline for the application i needed. but then mr. harrison came out there, and i just asked him. i got the accel application i need, but he was supposed to sent it to kennesaw, and he just gave it to me. i have to find out where to send it myself.

With Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton wanted to erase the past but for entirely different reasons. Tim Burton sought to blot out the memory of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, the 1971 movie adaptation of Roald Dahl's children's classic that starred Gene Wilder and which is, in fact, well-loved by some.

You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you 're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean you 're pretentious. You realize'dumb'can be witty -- after all isn't that'the Simpsons'philosophy? -- but rudeness for its own sake,'gross-out'humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat. I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer. Your sense of humor takes the most effort to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion. Also, you probably loved the Office. If you don't know what I'mtalking about, check it out here: http: // www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/theoffice/. PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Jon Stewart - Woody Allen - Ricky Gervais

The media's new obsession over whether John Roberts is or was a member of the Federalist Society is pretty foolish. I know members whose political views range from moderate conservatives (more moderate than, say, O'connor or Kennedy) to Christian rightists to libertarian anarchist individualists. Judicial philosophy ranges from Borkean anti-judicial review views to Randy Barnettian presumptions of liberty. In short, membership in the Federalist Society tells you nothing about a nominee except that he or she is not "on the left", which one presumes would be true about any Bush Supreme Court nominee.

Now that I'm back from the theater, I can give you my review of the cinematic experience that is Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson in The Wedding Crashers. A few words come to mind: fantastic, hilarious, a playful romp (that's for you, Korn!). So now, take my advice and go see it. Now. Get up right this second, check your local theater for showing times, and go see it. C'mon, you know you want to. Would I ever steer you wrong? ;-)

As far as I'm concerned, its hard to give Lance Armstrong enough accolades. He deserves every one of the tributes he ’ ll receive for winning his seventh consecutive Tour de France. His competitive will is an incredible example:

Your humor's mostly innocent and off-the-cuff, but somehow there's something slightly menacing about you. Part of your humor is making people a little uncomfortable, even if the things you say aren't in and of themselves confrontational. You probably have a very dry delivery, or are seriously over-the-top. Your type is the most likely to appreciate a good insult and/or broken bone and/or very very fat person dancing. PEOPLE LIKE YOU: David Letterman - John Belushi

Virtual Earth is very similar to Google Maps in that you can drag and zoom satellite or roadmap map views. Virtual Earth has more zoomed-in satellite photos of some parts of Brooklyn than Google Maps does, but the zoom is clunkier than Google's implementation (it zooms and THEN refreshes, frustrating especially if the pictures on the new zoom level don't exist.) Also, directions to and from a location redirect to MSN's existing directions app, and don't overlay them onto Virtual Earth, which is definitely a big minus.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was the first person in the administration told by the Justice Department that they had initiated an investigation, at the request of the CIA, into the outing of agent Valerie Plame. According to the records that have been made public thus far, Gonzales was contacted at 8: 30 PM on September 29, 2003, and told to inform all White House staff to “ preserve (any) materials ” that might be relevant to the case. That, apparently, isn ’ t what happened, though.

Madonna's relationship with Britney Spears had been cooling down since their steamy kiss during the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003. She refused to become Britney's child's godmother and she's recently been recording with Britney's rumored nemesis, Christina Aguilera. But Madonna's not ready to give up on her mentoree yet. According to a report by British newspaper, the People (which was reprinted by Digital Spy), Madonna is planning a Kabbalah blessing for Britney's child. When will the blessing take place? We can make a better guess now, thanks to Britney's little sister, Jamie Lynn. The Nickelodeon star said in a message on her website, "We are getting ready for the new baby's arrival in September!!!!" Just under two months to go. (By Kate Lanahan)

WASHINGTON, DC — President Bush officially responded to the latest round of London transit bombings Monday, challenging terrorists to "do their worst." Said Bush, in a televised statement from the Oval Office: "The proud and resilient people of London can take anything the forces of evil and cowardice can throw at them. They will never live in fear of you. Bring it on." Prime Minister Tony Blair thanked Bush for his comments, inviting him to visit London and ride the Underground in a show of solidarity.

I've been a bad blogger. Oh well, I don't think anyone reads this anyhow. I'm still depressed, but I finally got into therapy. I really like my therapist, too. She has some good ideas on how to approach my current issues -- some of which have grown much more complicated recently. I did get to go to Ozzfest yesterday, which was one of my summer goals. On the down side, I had to listen to Shadows Fall from the consession stand because of an incompetant vender and I got sunburn. On the up side, I had a cute chick come on to me and Rob Zombie, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath all kicked serious ass.

the Shock Jock (52% dark, 65% spontaneous, 55% vulgar) your humor style: VULGAR | SPONTANEOUS | Darkyour sense of humor is off-the-cuff and kind of gross. Is it is also sinister, cynical, and vaguely threatening to the purer folks of this world, and you probably get off on that. You would cut a greasy fart, then blame it on your mom, and then just shrug when someone pointed out that she's dead. Yours is hands-down the most outrageous sense of humor; you like things trangressive and hardcore. It's highly likely (a) you have no limits (b) you have no scruples and (c) you have no job. Ironically, it's your type of humor that can make the biggest bucks in show business. PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Howard Stern - Adam Sandler - Roseanne Barr

I just got off the phone with Sal Sirabella, Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll's chief of staff. They are in the midst of drafting a letter of apology to Marine Sgt. Joseph Goodrich's family, which I will post as soon as Sirabella faxes it over. Sirabella read parts of the letter on the phone, and it will include boilerplate pablum about how Knoll "supports the troops" and is "sorry for the misunderstanding" (as if the family is somehow to blame for misinterpreting her anti-war sermonizing at Sgt. Goodrich's mass?).
