But the WWF team pushed to achieve the required quality levels and qualified for inclusion in the Windows Vista CTP (Community Technology Preview) 1 release, which Microsoft distributed to show attendees, said Scott Woodgate, group product manager with Microsoft's Connected Systems Division.

Looks like I finally found a good use for that $28 million I've got saved up. I originally wanted to buy a few Ferraris and start my own gang of Ferrari-driving hooligans, but why do that when I can just buy Brad Pitt's house and pretend that I used to have sex with Jennifer Aniston in it? I mean that's healthy, right?

So it ’ s a big mistake here, in my opinion. If the President felt the need to nominate a woman, it should have been Edith Clement, Janice Rogers Brown, Edith Jones or Priscilla Owen. There are plenty of highly-qualified female jurists with excellent records as strict constructionists. Harriett Miers is not one of them.

I'm a longtime Neil Gaiman/Dave Mckean fan. I once had the entire "Sandman" collection in comic form (since sold it... oh well, i have the graphic novels and digital copies). Anyway, they worked with Jim Henson Studios to create a new movie, Mirrormask, which is getting a lot of rave reviews. Apparently it's in very limited release, but I'm really hoping to see it. The movie was created with $4 mil budget, which is impressive given all the special effects in the film. Anyway, if you 're in an area that it's showing, please go check it out and support the film. You'll be glad you did, and will help the longterm success of the film.

Mr. Gingrich knows something about dramatic intersections. He helped lead the 1994 GOP takeover of Congress from a Democratic majority that had associated itself with tax increases and a government takeover of health care. In 1996, the Democrats partly recovered when his party let President Clinton seize the moral high ground during a government shutdown. Two years after that, a Republican Congress preoccupied itself with the Monica Lewinsky scandal and adjourned just before the midterm elections by passing a budget-busting spending bill. Demoralized GOP voters stayed home, allowing the Democrats to pick up more seats. Mr. Gingrich stepped down shortly after that, turning over the Speaker's gavel to Dennis Hastert.

The overnight rating for Saturday afternoon's regional baseball coverage on Fox, highlighted by the Yankees'division-clinching victory over the Red Sox, tied for the highest ever for the regular season on that network. The 5.4 rating (and 13 share) tied two days in September of 1998, during the race for the single-season home run record between Mark Mcgwire and Sammy Sosa. Boston's 22.6 rating and 54 share was the highest regular-season rating on Fox in that market. The 11.4 rating in New York was the third-highest in the regular season for the market, trailing only two Yankees-mets games, one in 1999 and one in 2002.

So, when Derek Jeter exited in the fourth inning with a bruised right knee — the result of a first-inning slide into second, where he was nailed by a throw from Manny Ramirez — Yankee fans held their breath.

On the other hand, the Washington Post writes Many Internet security and privacy experts, however, question its necessity. "It's a good idea and clever, but I've never seen the need to use it," said Bruce Schneier, chief technology officer of Counterpane Internet Security Inc. Noting that consumers have, at most, only a $50 liability if a credit card is fraudulently used, Schneier said, "I don't have a lot a risk here." It would be more troublesome if someone stole his Social Security number and created a new account in his name, Schneier said; that kind of identity theft is much harder to correct. [end of post]

To take one example, classic "Star Trek", by which we mean the original show as devised by Gene Roddenberry with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy in the lead roles, and to a lesser extent, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" with Patrick Stewart, were shows in which any particular episode more often than not restored its own starting position.
