You scored as Lara Croft. A thrill-seeking, slightly unscrupulous, tough-as-nails archaeologist, Lara Croft travels the world in search of ancient relics perhaps better left hidden. She packs two Colt. 45s and has no fear of jumping off buildings, exploring creepy tombs, or taking on evil meglomaniacs bent on world domination.

You scored as The Amazing Spider-man. After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker was transformed from a nerdy high school student into New York's greatest hero. Peter enjoys the thrill of being a super hero, but he struggles with the burdens of leading a double life. He hopes someday to win the heart of his true love Mary Jane, the woman he's loved since before he even liked girls. Right now, he just wants to make it through college and pay his bills.

Thanks to Master Hayden for pointing to this interview of Howard Phillips by Kevin Swanson, discussing the president ’ s nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. I ’ m not sure yet about how enthusiastic we can be about supporting this nominee, but I appreciate Mr. Phillips ’ s point that the conservative break with Bush over his Mier appointment did have an impact. Let ’ s not grow weary of proclaiming the truth.

Third, this test measured if you are more of an introvert or an extrovert. By definition, an introvert concentrates more on herself and an extrovert focuses more on others. In this test an introvert was somebody that either tends to spend more time alone or thinks more about herself.

- In just under 18 hours, the West Wing will be live on the East Coast performing a debate. Lets just watch Santos whipe Vinick off the map. I'll be getting both the West & East coast episodes. They 're aparantly different episodes, with different questions. I wonder if it'll be on a tape delay... So we don't hear Alan Alda say "Crap, or Shit." Without getting bleeped out.

National security letters offer a case study of the impact of the Patriot Act outside the spotlight of political debate. Drafted in haste after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, the law ’ s 132 pages wrought scores of changes in the landscape of intelligence and law enforcement. Many received far more attention than the amendments to a seemingly pedestrian power to review “ transactional records. ” But few if any other provisions touch as many ordinary Americans without their knowledge.

I went and saw Jarhead tonight. I liked it, a lot. The music was very fitting. It was serious, yet had some funny parts. And some of the shots were just amazing. I like the way the movie starts and ends (if you have seen it or go see it, you will know what I am talking about) The casting was amazing; Jake Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Jamie Foxx. It was all together a very good movie. The downfall of it was afterwards, on the way home. All I could think about was my dad, and how much I love him. How badly I miss him. It took me ten minuets to remember the last time I saw him. And sometimes I forget what his face looks like, so I look at pictures I have of him on my computer. I wish he would just come home, and stay there.

Yesterday I wrote about "Good Night and Good Luck," George Clooney's new movie about Edward R. Murrow, CBS and Senator Joseph Mccarthy. Neither Helaine nor I thought it was particularly good. That probably guarantees it a best picture Oscar!

Controversial?! No. There is no question. Jarhead should be unanimously praised as fantastic. Suck it, NY Times. Checklist -- North Country very pleasing, Just Like Heaven cute, Prime cute + Meryl Streep, Chicken Little sadly only cute, Shopgirl really pulled it off well. Actors really are becoming the integral part of a movie's quality. Charlize Theron, Frances Mcdormand, Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Claire Danes, Jason Schwartzman, Jake Gyllenhall, Peter Sarsgaard, Jamie Foxx all have given impressive performances. And guess what?! It's November. PUMPKIN PIE BLIZZARDS AT DAIRY QUEEN!

The greengrassmyass Show (BRAVO, 2: 30): greengrassmyass (Dan Aykroyd) makes vivivo04 (Forest Whitaker) look stupid in front of a large crowd at a day spa. The next day, babaaweirdsheep (Emma Watson) lets monkeysfromhell (Hank Azaria) borrow a unicycle to impress a chauffeur. That night, shyandsly (Jamie Lee Curtis) oversleeps and misses lunch with iseepurplehair (Jimmy Stewart). The week after, disforduck (Ralph Fiennes) takes funkylikeadunky (Dan Aykroyd) bowling. right, now this one has everybody in it, i think. and is even more plauseable than the first. only, i do nt know if Dia can ride a unicycle...
