You scored as Lara Croft. A thrill-seeking, slightly unscrupulous, tough-as-nails archaeologist, Lara Croft travels the world in search of ancient relics perhaps better left hidden. She packs two Colt. 45s and has no fear of jumping off buildings, exploring creepy tombs, or taking on evil meglomaniacs bent on world domination.

Democrats cleaned up big in off-year elections from New Jersey to California, sinking the candidate who embraced President Bush in the final days of the Virginia governor's campaign. They also turned back all four of GOP Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's efforts to reshape state government. Democratic Sen. Jon Corzine easily won the New Jersey governor's seat after an expensive, mudslinging campaign, trouncing Republican Doug Forrester by 10 percentage points. Polls in the last week had forecast a much closer race. Democratic Lt. Gov. Tim Kaine won a solid victory in Gop-leaning Virginia, beating Republican Jerry Kilgore by more than 5 percentage points. Democrats crowed that Bush's election-eve rally for the former state attorney general only spurred more Kaine supporters to the polls.

Link: The 32-type Dating Test by Okcupid - Free Online Dating.... almost one hundred percent wrong. * How can I answer that I don't believe in true love, or love at first sight, and still be told that I spend hours dreaming about romantic ideals? There are many things I spend hours dreaming about, but my perfect mate is not one of them. Not to mention the implication that I am not, in the main, a sensual person — because, of course, romance and sex are incompatible. Gah. If I met the person described in these results, I'd run like hell. *

Texans have passed a constitutional amendment that bans same-sex marriage and civil unions. But the new group, Save Texas Marriage, is bringing a new message into the fray. They say that because of flawed language, Proposition 2, promoted by supporters as an effort to protect traditional marriage, would in fact ban marriage as we know it. The actual language of the Proposition: "The constitutional amendment providing that marriage in this state consists only of the union of one man and one woman and prohibiting this state or a political subdivision of this state from creating or recognizing any legal status identical or similar to marriage." Haha. Take that overzealousness.

(BBC) Prime Minister Tony Blair has lost the key House of Commons vote on plans to allow police to hold terror suspects without charge for up to 90 days. Mps rejected the plans by 322 votes to 291 - a bigger than expected majority of 31. It is Mr Blair's first defeat since Labour came to power in 1997. The defeat will be seen as a blow to the authority of Mr Blair, who said Mps had a "duty" to support the police. Mps later backed a compromise detention time limit of 28 days. More here > > Not overjoyed with the 28 days thing but it's a damn sight better then people being pulled and held for

Democratic Lt. Governor Tim Kaine won big, defeating Republican Jerry Kilgore. Republican Bill Bolling squeaked out a victory against Democrat Leslie Byrne for Lt. Governor. And, as of this writing, the attorney general ’ s race is up in the air, too close to call, but it ’ s trending towards a very narrow victory for Republican Bob Mcdonnell over Charlottesville Senator Creigh Deeds.

A few folks are wondering if these memos were intentionally leaked because the mainstream press already has stories about them, but for those of you who want to make up your own minds about what was actually said you ’ re in luck. Dave Winer pressed his sources inside Microsoft and obtained separate internal memos by Bill Gates and Ray Ozzie. I encourage readers to go check these out and draw your own conclusions.

One of my favorite TV shows is the West Wing. Its most recent episode featured an interesting experiment. The show has Alan Alda (as Sen. Arnold Vinick) running against Jimmy Smits (as Rep. Matt Santos) as the Republican and Democratic candidates respectively; the episode (number 7 in the 7th season of the show) had […]

Capitol Hill Blue has spoken with a number of current and former administration officials who acknowledge existence of the enemies list only under a guarantee of confidentiality. Those who have seen the list say it is far more extensive than Richard Nixon ’ s famous “ enemies list ” of Watergate fame or Bill Clinton ’ s dossiers on political enemies.

Paul Anka), but I ’ ve got to admit that I am a little tired of the show ending with Lorelai in tears. How many times have we done that this season? I ’ ve lost count. Lauren Graham rocked the scene, and maybe I ’ m just feeling impatient because I so, so wanted Luke to find Lorelai and Rory in Rory ’ s room. I just wanted more. It was sad, though, to see how she called herself a bad mom or a failure or whatever it was. It ’ s obvious that she ’ s hurting.

Each week on Monday Night Football, the week ’ s highlights are shown at halftime, accompanied by a rewritten version of Tim Mcgraw ’ s “ I like it, I love it ” where the lyrics have been altered to recap the action. I ’ m sure I am not alone in being a little sick of hearing the same song for the 9th week straight. In honor of Carolina Panthers Topcat cheerleaders Angela Keathley and Renee Thomas ’ ability to completely distract the country from the action on the field with their action in the stall, and to freshen up the song, I have rewritten the diddy for week 9.

Movie beauty Jessica Alba fears she is being typecast, because she only gets offered role as whores and sexy maids. The Sin City actress is grateful for the opportunities she has been given in Hollywood - but would kill for the parts offered to rival actress Natalie Portman. She tells gossip site Pagesix.com, "The scripts I get are always for the whore, or the motorcycle chick in leather, or the horny maid. I get all those screenplays that start,'Tawnya is in the shower. The water streams down her naked, perky breasts.'Somehow, I don't think this is happening to Natalie Portman."

In 1964, the Philadelphia Phillies and star pitcher Jim Bunning dashed 14-year-old Samuel Alito's pennant hopes. Forty-one years later, Bunning can make it up to him. Bunning, now a Republican senator from Kentucky, ran into the Supreme Court nominee in a Capitol bathroom last week.''This jurist is probably the biggest Phillies fan in the world. He proceeded to tell me about the 1964 season and how we blew the pennant,''Bunning said Tuesday. The'64 Phillies collapsed after having held first place in the National League for much of the summer, losing 10 straight games and missing the World Series. Bunning said he would support Alito's nomination.

Have you guy seen "Moulin Rouge!" with Nicole Kidman and Ewan Mcgregor? I saw it a long time ago, when it came out in 2001, but it was on TV and I was watching a little of it... I mean really watching it. It is a really good movie. I think I am going ot rent it sometime. It's sad, but so good. You should see it if you haven't.

WDIV Channel 4 was wrong. WXYZ Channel 7 was wrong. Even Rob Theakston was wrong. In the end, it was Tim Kiska and Fox 2 Detroit who were the first to correctly report the results of last night's election, in which Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick laid the smack down on Freman Hendrix and won four more years worth of living the T.H.U.G.L.I.F.E on Detroit taxpayers'dollars. Worst.

Yesterday at Ad: Tech New York industry experts debated the issue, presenting different opinions. Mediapost collected the points of view in a brief article: Nick Denton, founder and publisher of Gawker Media said he can't really point to any examples of posts that originated from ads themselves. Steve Rubel said that advertising on blogs assisted marketers in "finding the customer evangelists out there" and "empowering them with tools."

Donovan Mcnabb received a phone call from none other than the Green Bay field general who only seemed to be interested in asking the Philadelphia quarterback some advice about a couple new menu items at Brett Favre ’ s Steakhouse. After the greetings and pleasantries were over Brett asked something like, “ So, should we go with the horseradish on the side in a cup or should we do a more fancy garnish topping thing? ” I honestly don ’ t know Donovan ’ s reply but I ’ m fairly certain that this is when the conversation turned to TO.

Meanwhile...'Intelligent-design'school board ousted in Penn By Jon Hurdle DOVER, Pennsylvania (Reuters) - Voters on Tuesday ousted a Pennsylvania local school board that promoted an "intelligent-design" alternative to teaching evolution, and elected a new slate of candidates who promised to remove the concept from science classes. The board of Dover Area School District in south-central Pennsylvania lost eight of its nine incumbents in an upset election that surprised even the challengers, who had been hoping for a bare majority to take control of the board.
