Last day of class until the weekend. 3 down, 1 to go. 3 hour Studies in Authors class. I hate inclass writing assignments. I got my CD in the mail today, Our Little Corner of the World: Music from Gilmore Girls. I'm listening to Oh My Love by John Lennon right now and I'm feeling pretty good about it. Also, the entire song of Where You Lead I Will Follow by Carole King & Louise Goffin is just wonderful. Ok, so the whole CD is wonderful. If someone wants me to burn it for them, just give me a blank CD and I'll be happy to do it. It's got Lennon, The Shins, Bjork, Yoko Ono, and Pernice Brothers on it. How can everyone not want this? In all the talk of Brokeback Mountain, Good Night and Good Luck, Syriana, Match Point, History of Violence, etc. (which I all enjoyed to varying degrees, btw) I want to do anything i can to ensure people see The Constant Gardener. Starring Ralph Fiennes, Rachel Weisz, a brilliant cameo by Bill Nighy, and directed by Fernando Meirelles (City of God) - it is far and away the best film I saw last year. It's out on DVD right now and there really is no reason for everyone who can read this to not see this movie.
