Suspect in Massachusetts gay bar attacks found in Arkansas. Kills police officer and bystander during attempt to apprehend him. Massachusetts announces he will be tried for the incident as a hate crime and for civil rights violations. I'm at Barbara's and don't have a link on hand, but overnight Syrians enraged over the mentioned cartoons making fun of Islam stormed the Danish and Swedish embassy in Syria and burned it. Sweet. This will totally make Islam come off to the Danes as a totally moderate and sane religion. Not that the Danes like Islam and the Arab populations to their south to begin with...

Playin'a ton of Soul Caliber (POW POW!) and watchin'a ton of Freakazoid! My avatar is a simple test. Was messing with photoshop to see if I'd look good with bright red hair. Luckily, I'm as pale as a corpse, so black, red, and dark brown hair colors look well with me. I blame Soul Caliber. Damned character creation, I currently have a huge lust for bright red hair. Who knows, I may do it when I have a job that won't mind so much. I'd rather not botch up my chances now. Green Bananas = Goodchokers = Goodspanking = Goodbiting = Very Goodperverted Drawings = Often Good, can turn badmonkeys = BAD, Alwayssour Punch Straws = for the winflat Soda = Never Good

(Directed by Ang Lee, with Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal): I really loved the directing and the photography... The acting was also really really good (specially from Heath Ledger) and the characters so endearing! (specially Jack ^ ^). Also beautiful story, really mooving and sad, and sober too... 4.

HOLLYWOOD - German director Werner Herzog was shot by a crazed fan during a recent interview with the BBC. The 63-year-old was chatting with movie journalist Mark Kermode about his documentary Grizzly Man, when a sniper opened fire with an air rifle. Kermode explains, "I thought a firecracker had gone off." Herzog, as if it was the most normal thing in the world, said,'Oh, someone is shooting at us. We must go.'"He had a bruise the size of a snooker ball, with a hole in. He just carried on with the interview while bleeding quietly in his boxer shorts." An unrepentant Herzog insisted, "It was not a significant bullet. I am not afraid." What a hardcore guy. This is the same guy who recently helped Joaquin Phoenix after he got in a car crash.

So I saw Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory yesterday. It was hilarious. I laughed so much :) Johnny Depp was really good and so was Freddie Highmore. Suck a sweet kid. The movie was so damn funny. I wan na see it again... Willy Wonka: I'm sorry, I was having a flashback. Mr. Salt: I see. Mr. Teavee: These flashbacks happen often? Willy Wonka: Increasingly... today. Anyways. I am quite bored right now. I know that I should try to do my italian but I do nt want to. It is so boring. I checked out's journal just now and found some nice Benny/Che pixx that was neat so that got me in a better mood. I am right now Listening to Beck and uploading some bases on Maj.

I watched "Grizzly Man" last night on The Discovery Channel. I'd seen the film in the theater this summer, of course, but wanted to see it again. In particular, I wanted to see the small half-hour documentary, "Diary of a Grizzly Man," which followed the film proper. Werner Herzog gathered together six of Timothy Treadwell's friends to discuss the movie, now that a year had passed since the film's release. Herzog himself appears on camera to discuss a number of choices he made about the film (including his decision not to include the tape of Treadwell's death-screams).

The World Socialist Web Site unequivocally condemns the publication by a series of European newspapers of defamatory cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad as a terrorist and killer. These crude caricatures, intended to insult and incite Muslim sensibilities, are a political provocation. Their publication, initially by a right-wing Danish newspaper with historical ties to German and Italian fascism, was calculated to fuel anti-muslim and anti-immigrant sentiment.

We saw Nanny Mcphee today, and it was possibly the best film ever. :-) Emma Thompson! and Colin Firth! and the sets and costumes! It was awesome. And then there was the orchestra concert, with Beethoven's 7th, and it was wonderful. I was a little nervous, because the first song, well, you can't really tell how it's going, and the second was a little rough. But the Beethoven? Very good. It's such a rush, really. It's lovely.

My dad & stepmom took me to see "The New World" today. I can say without hiding that it was a good movie. Colin Farrell (yum), Christian Bale, David Thewlis = a good time. The actress that portrayed Pocahontas was convincing.

stolen from who got it from. Ground Rules: Name your Top 20 List Of Lust, in no particular order. Your neighbor or grade school teacher doesn't count. The list can be male, female or mixed. They can be real life celebrities or characters in a movie or TV show. For example, you might want to gag Mariska Hargitay, while still lusting after Butchy Mcfabulous Olivia Benson. Tag 5 people on your flist to do this meme. Thought it be good to have some picspam once in a while.

I can see why Rachel Weisz was nominated for and won several awards for this movie, but I think Ralph Fiennes has been ROBBED! His role in this movie is just as riveting and my heart went out to him throughout the whole thing.

and want to see the movie, though the dvd isn't out until Feb 14th. I like Anthony Hopkins and Gwyneth Paltrow, though I know she has her non-fans. I'd like to see Jake Gyllenhaal again, especially in a romance where he doesn't end up dead. I find Gyllenhaal a very likable actor. I note that the brilliant mathematician (Hopkins) says that he did his best work before he was 25. I think Clifford Geertz's

song of the day: "Mr. Jones" by the Counting Crows. I love this song. It's a CC classic, and it's somewhat uptempo and happy-for being a CC's song. I mean most CC songs are pretty sad this one's just kind of sad lol. But beautiful song nonetheless. Adam says this is about an old friend of his back when he lived in Sanfran-before the CC's big break I'm guessing (?) and how they used to be best friends but when the CC's got their big break the two just kind of unintentionally drifted apart... so here it is.
