As the heading said, just another lonely day. It is infact a very lonely day because of snow. Basically all I'm doing is sitting here drinking a banana-split hot chocolate and eating peanut butter cookies. Aswell as studying. Tomorrow we start more writing finals that will last us 3 days of our useless week. It don't matter though because after all that we get a 4 day weekened. I guess Friday, Veronica and I are going to try to go to Battle of the Bands in Mcadoo if we can find a ride. Its like 45 minutes from me so I hope we can find someone. Oh well I have nothing to speak of right now. Good bye.

So Friday went good. Went and played some pool. Well I did nt play, but Liz and John did. It was educational. Then went to Matt's, which ended up being interesting... like always. Got a lot of numbers I'll prolly never call. Blah blah blah. Its snowing like hell. Gooodddaammmnnnn. Im bored. I hate being blunt. And blunts. Blunt wraps. Blunt anything. </3I want Olive Garden. I need cigarettes. What a bad combination. It should be a snow day tomorrow... that would definatly make my day. Except we should find out today. So it can make my 2 days. Alright, Im done.

"Laura Berg is a clinical nurse specialist at the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, where she has worked for 15 years." Shortly after Katrina, she wrote a letter to the editor of the weekly paper the Alibi criticizing the Bush Administration. "After the paper published the letter in its September 15-21 issue, VA administrators seized her computer, alleged that she had written the letter on that computer, and accused her of “ sedition. ”"

President Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair were not sure there was enough evidence to convince the Security Council to go to war with Iraq. Bush proposed an alternative: to paint a US spy plane in United Nations colors to see if that would tempt Hussein ’ s forces to shoot at it. This January 31, 2003, account appears in the new edition of “ Lawless World, ” a book by British author Philippe Sands.

It is difficult to draw an absolute link between the [Egyptian] ferry disaster and the violence that exploded across much of the Muslim world last week in response to Danish cartoons that had lampooned the Prophet Muhammad. Many Muslims feel it was blasphemous to draw the Prophet at all, let alone in a mocking manner.

Is LJ crapping out on everyone at the moment? Stupid LJ.S o I wound up seeing Nanny Mcphee with mum, which was rather good. It was a little predictable, but it was fun and had lots of people I like in it. (Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Thomas Sangster...) Afterward, mum said she liked it, especially the baby, so I suggested she see A Series of Unfortunate Events. So we've rented that and The World According to Garp. Hosmeade results are in and have me pretty down. No placings, not even for my Unity drabble, and we came in last on the first House Challenge, which is hard to imagine.:/I did get a Batman toothbrush, though, as well as granola and more apple juice. And I got to eat a Crunchwrap! Mmmmm nectar of the gods...

As far as remakes go, I see that the new Pink Panther is playing about as well as Piss Christ in the Bible Belt. Unlike Logan ’ s Run, there is absolutely no reason to remake The Pink Panther. Peter Sellers in Blake Edward ’ s original Pink Panther is as good as that is ever going to get. Anything else is a cheap knock-off. Even with Steve Martin. I ’ d be willing to bet that the up coming remake of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid will be every bit as weak.

Well, the first (actual) day of the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics is over. Canada's first gold medal was awarded to Jessica Heil (her first) in the Women's Freestyle Skiing Moguls. Also, Chad Hedrick took home gold in the Men's 5000m Speed Skating.

What's it gon na take for the general public to be shocked anymore?'Cause, really, and, c'mon, this week's news alone ought to be enough to make the head of even the most casual observer of the nascent Washington scandals explode into a shower of skull and viscera, raining down on the ignorant. The White House knew the levee hadn't held and that New Orleans was being drowned a day earlier than previously admitted? Scooter Libby was told by Dick Cheney and other "superiors" to break the law and leak classified information? Tom Delay is put on the House subcommittee that oversees the Justice Department, while said department is investigating Delay's buddy, Jack Abramoff?

Your personality is hard to define - you 're very unconventional. And even if your personality could be defined, it would be completely different next week! Outgoing and shy, sensitive and thoughtless, you tend to have a very split personality. This makes you unpredictable. You can be a total angel - and a total devil. You are most compatible with: everyone! Famous Type AB's: Jackie Chan and Marilyn Monroe

Thanks for making the first Friday Night Open Mic a resounding success.: panyway, things that ticked me off this week. The Coretta Scott King funeral. Wow, that was truly insensitive of the Reverend Lowery and Jimmy Carter (and others) lambasting Bush at a FUNERAL. Sure, it was Mrs. King's, and she was a symbol of equal rights, but politicizing her funeral because the president was there was stupid. And if Bush didn't show up, he'd be called insensitive. Seriously, the man can not win. Lowery and Carter, you 're on notice. Anyway, I'm putting the Rood inverse sigil on my guitar. Will post picture when I finish.

On FNS, Jack Reed shrugged off the Harry Reid-jack Abramoff connection and declared this a Republican scandal. Of course Harry Reid is beholden to Indian tribes and gambling interests, Reid contended, as he is from Nevada. On FTN, DNC chief Howard Dean declared that Dick Cheney would be removed from office because Scooter Libby said that his superior ordered him to leak Valerie Plame ’ s name for political purposes. Steph on TW, though, asked Condi Rice if she gave the order.
