I am sick with a cold. I started coming down with it on Thursday and it has gotten progressively worse each day. I have a paper due tomorrow and I can barely concentrate on the computer screen. Great.

Ho, Ho, HO! Just came back from an exhilerating time at Magic Mountain, which is a true rush park for anyone that wants to ride on their roller coaster! Yeah, baby, what a rush! And then I get back and tried to dig out more info on this interesting topic, athlete s foot,. I found every site I wanted to on that topic right at my fingertips. That one hyperlink took me right there and escorted me to the promise land just as I assumed. But it did take a while.

Ever get the feeling that something really important happened today, but you just can't figure out what it was? I had a long conversation with Sifu and Ryan, and a lot of it was about vampires and Satanism and powers of darkness, and such-like. And I can't escape the feeling that I'm missing something. ARGH. And I think it's more about me and something I'm thinking or feeling than anything else. Frustration!!! But anyway! My sister, as I said, is home this weekend. So tonight, we went out for dinner and a movie, and saw the new Pink Panther movie, with Steve Martin. Oh. My. GOSH. It was absolutely HILARIOUS, and I completely recommend it to anyone and everyone!!! Especially fans of the originals, of course.

Odd. The length of time it took to get from Buffalo Wild Wings on 280 to my house tonight exactly equaled the duration of Pink Floyd's "Echoes," which we only listened to in response to me bringing up the fact that you can sync said song with the Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite portion of Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey," much in the same fashion as "Dark Side of The Moon," also by Pink Floyd, of course, with "The Wizard of Oz." Tomorrow comes and will be fulfilled, so help me.

I've been on this cooking spree here lately. Thursday night I made chicken enchiladas from scratch and made a HUGE batch of chocolate chip cookie dough. I baked half of the cookies Thursday and baked the rest tonight. I've got a small loaf of French bread baking. WTF is up with me?! I don't cook!!! LOL! The most amazing part is that Troy and I are still alive and I've not killed us with my cooking. Sweet. :) My next dish is going to be chicken jambalaya. Pretty soon I'll be having dinner parties and become a social snob. :)

Just when I thought I wouldn't see any remnance of my childhood, they go and make a Scooby Doo movie with real actors. And then they go and hire a stunning actress like sarah Michelle Gellar to go and play Daphne. Just splendid. I just love Scooby-doo as it brings back really happy memories of my childhood.

Based on an inspiring real-life event that took place in the 1970s, North Country stars Charlize Theron in another low-glamour but high-impact role as Josey Aimes, one of only a handful of women working in the Minnesota iron mines. Forced to labor under sexist conditions, she and her female colleagues decide to stand up against the unrelenting harassment from their male counterparts. Frances Mcdormand, Sissy Spacek and Woody Harrelson co-star.

Seriously, ce dancing was exciting tonight. _ 3 _ of the top 6 couples fell - which almost never happens in ice dancing. And then the Americans, Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto, came on, in 6th place from the compulsories, and were fast and sexy and actually had costumes within the bounds of taste, and wow were they good. Watch the finals tomorrow if you've got any interest in this sport at all - I suspect it will be exciting.

Sinn Fein had two ministers in the now suspended Executive Committee (cabinet) of the Northern Ireland Assembly but has never sat in cabinet in the Republic. In 2005 the unionist parties indicated that they would not serve in government with Sinn Féin until its relationship with the Provisional Irish Republican Army was terminated.

, John Sheppard/Rodney Mckay. It's slave fic, and really, that's not usually on top of my list, but whoa. Good stuff, so far. I just found these three yesterday, and I just love them. I have obviously managed to avoid most of Auburn's fic, because I just realized when perusing her website that she's the one who wrote the gen fic The Taste of Apples (and the slash sequel Sacrificial Drift) that I've been pratically bludgeoned over the head about reading. Well, I don't usually read a lot of gen fic, so it just kept getting pushed back on the list, no matter how many people praised it. Now that I know there's a slash sequel, I figured I'd probably get to it sooner or later, but it hasn't happened yet. I expect it will sooner than later, now that I've read these three.

California here we come the pie-in-the-sky-land! Goodbye, Reno, it was a nice, albiet, slightly strange (as has to be expected when one leaves California) visit. Poetry is amazing. Earlier Nathan and I saw the new, wonderful, emotionial, hilarious Judi Dench movie Mrs. Henderson Presents. What a dame. We 're leaving tonight instead of tomorrow morning because we just got back to the room and Blaine, Nathan's roommate was here. So, this is it. Davis or bust.
