Last Thursday I was in a car accident (-). I lost control of the car on 84 during the first half hour or so of a snow storm, did to 360s across three lanes of traffic, and smashed into the side of a bridge. My car wouldn ’ t run, trapping me facing into oncoming traffic. All I could think to do during the entire few seconds it took was to say “ No, No, No ” over and over.

I never saw Crash or Brokeback Mountain, but it looks like the awards got split up rather nicely there. It was nice to see Phillip Seymore Hoffman walk away with an award he's deserved it many times. George Clooney's acceptance speech was pretty well done and Jon Stewart was classic.

Sometimes there's some really bad marketing going on around the internet. So I go to this one real estate agent's site because I'm looking for a house, right? And up pops this popup to go to a Used Car site. What the heck I say. Some people are just way off base. But then I found this really focused site on x box gun and went hunting around and found some pretty amazing sites I never discovered about the topic. There you have it, right there before my eyes was everything I could possibly want and need in a resource to do my research. Happy is me!

Here we are in the 21st Century and more and more alien shows keep coming out on television. Perhaps one day the government will finally call it quits and tell us mere mortals that they have captured alien life and doing experiments with them as the aliens supposedly do experiments on us human beings. I mean, at least it would give me the feeling of tables being turned on the aliens. Maybe we can teach those foreign creations about something like drexlite and show them a thing or two.

Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty. That is my favorite bumper sticker, but who would have thought that the person I married would be reciting that line to me the very day I met em. Weird, isn't it? It's like the total randomness of showing up at a site about cheap air fares to africa and not knowing a darn thing about it -- all because I clicked on some popup that came before my screen from hitting a random search engine listing. Just weird, I tell ya.

It is truly the most spell-binding thing. These people that have lawn signs in their front yard during voting season. Since that sign represents who or what they will vote for, what good is it keeping the vote a secret ballot. No question who that person or family is going to vote for. Just seems stupid. And what is that sign trying to accomplish? Are they trying to change someones mind at all? And if someone does change their mind based on a sign in front of someones house, that person is probably not worth the brain cells. That person may as well just be randomly surfing the net about hrs hotel reservation. Again, I ask you, what good is that political sign on someonez front lawn?

Anyways, I'm glad to see that people are working on projects to help the entire world be a license free type of place with Openoffice.org. Boy, how is that to knock-off a suite of tools like Bill Gates Microsoft suite so he can't grab all his renewal income from every single new upgrade or different named operating system he comes out with. Sheesh - that takes some real balls to go up against someone like Microsoft. I hope it makes a real dent in that software business years down the line.

David Copperfield by Charles Dickens Chuck? * smooches * I love you. OK? But the first third or so of Copperfield is essential. The rest of it, Great Ex, and A Christmas Carol are not. Especially not ACC. IF YOU 'VE SEEN ONE OF THE EIGHT MILLION MOVIE VERSIONS YOU GET THE IDEA.T he Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Never heard of it. No idea. The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov OMGFUCKINGYES. Somewhere I have a post about how this book should be made into an HBO series starring Alexis Denisof and Stephanie Romanov, but for now, just -- yes. I forgive everything else on this list.

I was sad to hear about the death of Don Knotts, the comedian and actor. His silly character, Deputy Barney Fife brought many chuckles in our household. He was 81 went he died so he did have a long productive life and hopefully he was aware of the laughter that he had brought to many people. It's strange, but less than a week ago, the grocery clerk brought Don's name up to me as I checked out. We had a few words about how funny Don was in a movie... something about Mr. Chicken? Not sure of the name of the movie .... but I hadn't thought about Don Knotts in a long time... so it was a strange coincidence. Well I guess it's time to get back to researching laser hair removal dallas texas on the search engine.

What I've read of it has bored me. Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell Great Expectations by Charles Dickens It's the only Dickens book I love but I almost love it enough to make up for all the ones I don't like. The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger I loved this book but I really don't think it belongs here. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold Seriously?

Sometimes I wonder what William Shakespear or Oscar Wilde would make of the Internet. Would they still be great writers or would they be great bloggers. I can just imagine William Shakespear Blog, Satire and irony ixed with witty comments. Having a go at the Government one minute then getting all romantic the next. Commenting on franchise in one paragraph and then trials of life the next. Now that would be fun to read.

The opening short film in which the previous Oscar hosts all turned down the job. The first scene showed Chris Rock and Billy Crystal peeking out of a Brokeback Mountain tent saying they were "too busy" to host the show. Whoopi Goldberg closed the door on the producers answering ("Oh, Hell no!"), David Letterman and Steve Martin both declined so they could spend more time with Martin's (fictional) children "so they won't grow up weird," Mr. Moviephone was "unavailable." Mel Gibson turned the job down while speaking in the ancient Mayan dialect that he's using in his new film.

This week we also met C. Thomas Howell, who plays Kim Bauer's ratty little boyfriend/lawyer/therapist Barry Landes. It's hard to like a character that tries to tell Kiefer what to do within 10 seconds of meeting him, so we 're hoping he won't be around much longer. Considering all of Kim's other boyfriends have either gotten killed or dismembered, he doesn't stand much of a chance.

Oh my, what a mess I'm in. Can't get my work done in a timely manner, cause I've got stuff scattered all over the place. Takes forever to find things. I sure don't suffer from compulsive organization. Seems there is more to do every day. Is it my imagination, or are days getting shorter. Another thing, it seems I can't say NO to anyone or anything. Promised a friend I'd check out first community credit union for her, because her computer is down. Another thing to add to my to-do list. Guess I better make a to-do list. Think that may help? Oh yeah, if anyone has any 36 hour days for sale, let me know, ok?

While I had hoped that the Court would see the Solomon Amendment as a violation of freedom of expressive association, seven justices (Alito doesn't count because he didn't hear oral arguments in the case, and O'connor doesn't count because she is no longer on the court) felt that there was no such issue. Chief Justice Roberts, writing the opinion, focused on the Solomon Amendment's requirement that universities offer equal access to both military and civilian recruiters: "Compelling a law school that sends e-mails for other recruiters to send one for a military recruiter is simply not the same as forcing a student to pledge allegiance to the flag." Thus the issue is not one of compelled speech, but of universities playing by their own rules.

Edgar Stiles, that lovable hunk of a computer geek from 24 has gone the way of David Palmer and Michele Dessler. Holy Krapppp! So fucking sad, I say. It's fucking tragic... That last heartbreaking scene; Edgar, gasping for air and choking on nerve gas, while Chloe watches helplessly behind a sealed, glass door, silently mouthing his name, over and over while Edgar dies .... That unrequited love between these two characters .... I hope it messes Chloe up for the rest of her life! R.I.P.E dgar Stiles

Their modus operandi is to crash weddings so they can meet guests who want to hook up with someone else on such a romantic day.
