You know, Cynthia Mckinney is bonkers, but she's only claiming as her due, what a lot of long time Reps have always done, and gone right through the check point because they are recognized. As someone who has actually been through those buildings on a very regular basis, I can tell you exactly how it works. She went over the line when she hit a Capitol Police officer but if you think for a second that most Reps don't sashay on by most of the time, you 're mistaken.

So I have been thinking about an article I read which discusses the idea of Paris Hilton starring in a movie about the life of Mother Teresa .... Read it at your own risk!... and I decided to poll y'all for your opinions... Yeah, I know I need to get a life.. It is on my birthday wish list ....

On tonight ’ s Daily Show, Jon Stewart did a live-via-sattelite interview with Senator John Mccain concerning his decision to give the commencement speech at Jerry Falwell ’ s Liberty University. After dodging the question several times as to why he was doing it, viewers of tonight show witnessed this exchange:

UHC COMES TO MA. We've got a meeting in a few minutes, so I've got to make this quick: Yesterday, Mitt Romney signed a bill bringing universal health care to Massachusetts. The state will now have an individual mandate, subsidization for low-income workers, and a minor penalty against employers who don't offer health benefits. In order to pass the program -- and make no mistake, "solving" a state's health care crisis is an achievement massive enough to anchor his 2008 presidential campaign -- Romney had to negotiate with a Democratic legislature and a powerful, long-standing statewide lobby for universal health coverage. And so he did. This was a compromise bill, not a Republican one.

Yesterday I attended the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Screening at the Arclight in Hollywood with,, and some other friends. IT WAS THE GREATEST THING EVER, OMG. Tetsuya Nomura was there and I got his autograph. ♥ We left at about 7: 30 am and got to the Arclight around 9-ish. Initially we were freaking out, since there was morning traffic and we worried we wouldn't get there in time for tickets. There wasn't too many people in line by the time we got there, ha ha, so we were practically guaranteed tickets. (Overly excited and paranoid...;;)

Ik lees nu Good Omens van Terry Pratchett en Neil Gaiman en hij is zo bloody briljant dat ik hem even moet quoten. "Something pressed into the small of his back.'Drop your gun,'said Anathema, behind him,'or i shall regret what I shall have to do next.'Well, it's true, she thought as she saw the man stiff in terror. If he doesn't drop the gun he'll find out this is a stick, and I shalll really regret having to be shot."

Apparently, “ a senior Homeland Security Department law enforcement agent was busted last October for exposing himself to a girl in the food court of a mall, ” and not only that — the agent, Frank Figueroa, used to run Operation Predator, the Department of Homeland Security ’ s program to combat child sex abuse.

I rarely look at CNN but I found Desmond Doss's story very heroic and inspirational. The only conscientious objector to receive a Medal of Honor in World War II has been buried at a national cemetery with a 21-gun salute. There's a documentary about him as well.

http: // www.scrappleface.com/? p = 2232 "At the box office this weekend, Ice Age 2 clobbered Basic Instinct 2 hauling in $70 million dollars, compared with less than $3 million for the Sharon Stone movie. One film is about a prehistoric creature ’ s struggle to survive and find love, the other is the animated sequel to the movie Ice Age." I'm a bit drugged up, had to take benadryl. Washed it down... washing it down... with a single beer. It's enough. Goonigh*thump *

Freshman point guard Kristi Toliver scored the team's final five points in regulation -- including a rainbow three-pointer from the right corner over 6-7 Alison Bales that tied the game with six seconds to play -- then made the go-ahead free throws in overtime in the Terps'78-75 win in last night's national championship game. Toliver's heroics capped a 13-point comeback, and gave the school its first-ever women's basketball title.

Hmph. I find myself so amusing sometimes. Meanwhile, Keith at work... SO flirting with me. So. And Sheri didn't tell him about my crush, either. She told me last week. Here's a casual random thought since it's after 1am and I'm not tired. I am not really a Heath Ledger fan. I am a Heath Ledger-as-ennis fan. That's about all, I'm sorry to say. I AM, however, a Jake Gyllenhaal fan. In any movie, doing anything, playing anyone. I am entranced by the hotness. We had a guest for teen coffeehouse tonight. He's a local singer/songwriter/guitarist/poet. It was pretty cool. We actually had a decent turnout and the teens were great and I think they really enjoyed themselves, too. It was nice. Alrighty. I gotta get tired soon. Maybe some warm milk'll do it.

This is quite possibly the greatest celebrity news of all time: Courtney Love, Lindsay Lohan and Kate Moss are going on vacation together. TOGETHER. Femalefirst says that, "Courtney is determined to be a calming influence on Lindsay who has had a really tough time of things, and she also adores Kate. When Kate was in rehab following damning footage of her cocaine abuse last September, Courtney was on standby to help her through it." COURTNEY LOVE is going to be the mother hen for a new generation of drug-addled girls! This is somehow so wonderful that it can not possibly be true.

Hey, it was a simple misunderstanding. A mistake anyone could make. Doncha see? Bennett and Wheeler had no idea that what they were doing was wrong. Now that they know that this is called sexual assault, it will never happen again. Arizona prosecutors would be just as understanding of any young man who made a bad decision because he had never been taught right from wrong. It could happen to anyone. I'm just certain that if Kyle Wheeler's accomplice in these acts had not been the son of the Arizona Senate President, he would have been treated just the same.

Well, technically the quip of yesterday. It seems Today entertainment reporter Jill Rappaport asked Jennifer Anniston about a rumor regarding wedding plans with Vince Vaughn. Apparently it had been previously agreed that this topic would be off-limits during the live interview Rappaport had with Anniston and co-star Catherine Keener. Following the awkward silence... quote: Rappaport explained she was curious about the wedding rumors, saying, "When you hear about an $8 million wedding, you'd like to be invited." "And now you won't be," quipped Keener...

Nothing shocks me anymore about the abject incompetence of the Bush administration, but yesterday was some day. Tom Delay resigned in disgrace. We found out that Bush's Justice Department ignored 1,500 pedophiles and an eye witness who could identify them and their acts, likely enough to land them in jail, maybe even uncover more including the network that hides these criminals. An active pedophile who is the deputy press secretary of Homeland Security was arrested for seducing a young 14 year old girl, who was really an undercover agent.
