I had been wanting to watch Lucky Number Slevin since I saw the trailer for it. Morgan Freeman, Stanley Tucci, Bruce Willis, and Ben Kingsley very rarely disappoint. Lucy Liu is a reason for me to see anything, and for once the movie seemed to be something I actually thought Josh Hartnett would fit well in. He seems ideally suited to play a smartass reluctant hero.

I had it on this morning as I scrubbed some enchilada sauce-encrusted pots and pans and that's how I happened to see Brett Favre's morning press conference. For anyone who's unaware, Favre, the nigh-legendary quarterback for the NFL's Green Bay Packers has been waffling lately about whether or not to return to the team for the new season. There's been a lot of speculation about this lately, with pundits questioning whether his displeasure with the team's performance in recent years would lead him to retire or if the Green Bay management would take his indecision as a hint to spend money on some name-brand talent in order to entice Favre to stick around. Favre called a press conference this morning and most folks thought he'd be announcing his decision.

Watch what you sing — that's the latest lesson in the war on terror. Specifically, watch what you sing out loud in a cab. The man, 24-year-old Harraj Mann, was taken off the London-bound flight after the taxi driver told detectives that Mann had been singing along to the song, which features the lines "Now war is declared — and battle come down," after plugging his MP3 player into the cab's music system. I discovered the second disc of my cope of Rush's "R30" DVD came scratched and unplayable. So yesterday, I took it back to Best Buy and got it exchanged with no hassles. Between this and the ipod exchange, I'm actually starting to believe in customer service again. The interviews on the second disc, spanning from 1979 to 2002, were neat to watch. Watched "Doctor Who" last night. My parents have been watching it too. My mom says she's sad that this is the only season we 're getting with Christopher Eccleston. I told her I'm sure David Tennant will do just fine. Who knows, maybe he'll be even better. I'm sure that in 1974, people were saying, "Man, I'm really bummed that Jon Pertwee is leaving. Lik Xon came over and Carmen, myself and him watched The Family Stone which was quite an ok show … a bit weird ‘ cos they exchange girlfriends and they decide that they love each other after a stroll in the town. Weird. I have to say Claire Danes looked really nice with her orange hair. Rachel Mcadams looked great with auburn hair … gorgeous indeed. She played her part really well. Sarah Jessica Parker, in my opinion, was only so-so.
