I want Taylor Hicks to win American Idol. I want the record companies and image consultants, etc. to see that American wants to hear the music of an old soul. That being said, Katharine Mcphee is seriously one of the most stunningly beautiful women I've ever seen. She is definitely one of those women that you could classify as "drop dead gorgeous". But back to the task at hand .... GO TAYLOR !!!! Of course I won't actually be watching the season finale of American Idol because I will be watching the two-hour season finale of Lost. I love Lost. And, you can't stop me so Pfffffffffft.: P

Ok, first the food thing. Dinner - Rest of the bowl of lentil soup from am. Hunk (~ 2 oz) whole wheat french breadok, on to the yay part. I have a job interview tomorrow! I know it's not half as exciting as if I got a job, but hopefully something will come of it. It's great pay and benefits, and it's full time. I have to take the train to the office tomorrow, but it's not all that bad. I actually like the train ride. It lets me see a lot of the city without having to be out in it (it was 85 FREAKING degrees today LOL) I ca nt win. It's either hot, or cold and rainy. Oh well, I'm starting to like Minnesota more already :) Is it just me, or do those babies look an awful lot alike. That s me on the left, and my neice (not biologically) on the right.

Going off to fence in a little while. I am slightly annoyed with my inability to keep up with the physical training I want to do. Its like one of those things I want to do in the long term but I can find easy to put off in the short term. But doing any at all is a good thing, definitely. Its also difficult to find space to do it. Jumping jacks shakes the whole house if I do it inside, and the weather is ugly. The idea behind the jumping jacks is to get my heart pumping, so I can probably replace that with a sprint down the driveway and back, and then do the pushups and crunches in my room once I've cleared more space on the floor. So cleaning my room will be a useful thing. I am making definite progress on that front. Oops... dads home, must go soon and he needs the computer.

Yeah, I know I complain about how much I hate country music, but there are actually country artists I really like. Like the Dixie Chicks. I've always liked them, even before the 2003 incident when Natalie Maines said what the rest of us Texans with sense felt about Bush and that damn war. They 're music is heartfelt and real, and fun. Quiet as it's kept, they 're one of the things that make me proud to be from Texas. But don't tell anyone I said that. ************************************************ From Rob Brezny: LEO (July 23-aug. 22): Author and peace activist Anne Herbert coined

I was thinking that Scrubs'season finale was on tonight. I was wrong. I guess I missed it. Oh well. What I did find, however, is a tv movie version of STEPHEN KING 'S DESPERATION!!! Ron Perlman, Tom Skerrit, Steven Weber, Matt Frewer... Freaky! I was NOT expecting that! kinda cool, though. I actually LIKE Stephen King's tv movies as long as they aren't remakes of pre-released theatrical movies. Desperation is one of my favorite Stephen King Books. i can't rightly remember the name of it's companion story, though. On a side note, for all you Eddie Izzard fans, I have just seen my first commercial for Cesar dog food.

work is being a bitch.the day dispatcher and the night dispatcher, both, want me to run my 11hrs on their time.tuesday morning and i'd already driven 1,000 miles.tuesday night and i've driven 1,100 miles. and told the night dispatcher that he's being'pissy'. ---- it's funny how monty python and the holy grail cracked me and shaggy up. but the southpark movie was retarded.still having a blast with my shaggy/anthony.today we've been talking about teaming. for bekins'tradeshow service. and dreaming about driving one-a those large cars with a shower and kitchen in'em.columbia still looks good. but now i'm debating holding off/renewing lease/moving later/saving myself $1500.I need to see a shrink with how many times I change my mind.cheers! - mel out.

http: // movies.yahoo.com/feature/pulse.html; _ ylt = Araqru _ Evk106yp63v6my2pfvxcathat's the trailer for Pulse. I don't really have anything else to say. It looks so blah. Do movie execs not know how freaking awesome Kristen Bell is? Instead they give her Pulse? I just don't have anything to say. I can only hope in the future that she'd go the indie route. Establish herself in small movies like Michelle Williams did, work her way up. Cause a talent that good should not be wasted on stuff like Pulse. That being said I hope it succeeds, and I will pay 10 bucks to support my Veronica Mars addiction.

so i'm debating as to which is better, the old Willy Wonka or the new one. advantages to OLD: - not so high tech so there is still some mystery to all the ideas-funny camera tricks-gene Wilder's great acting-the fizzy drink bubble room part-the endingadvantages to NEW: - Johnny Depp's gorgeous acting-johnny Depp's creepy actingso i guess the old one wins. i mean, Johnny Depp is great and all, but the old one is a classic and it's just better. X-MEN 3 comes out this weekend... i can't wait! nor can i wait for eighty degree weather and the beach :)

Uematsu recently left Square Enix to purse a freelance career, but will continue to work for the company - contributing tracks to both Final Fantasy XII and writing the score for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie, while continuing to pursue his own projects outside the firm. We caught up with him in London to find out his thoughts on what the future holds for both game music, and for one of its best-known creators.

LEO (July 23-aug. 22): Author and peace activist Anne Herbert coined the suggestion, "Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty." Recently I found myself driving behind a battered blue truck with a bumper sticker that had a variation on that advice: "Commit random acts of beautiful coolness." Now, just in time for your Season of Ingenious Compassion, Leo, I have borrowed from them both to create an oracle that's in perfect alignment with your astrological omens: * Commit random acts of the coolest kindness and most intriguing beauty you can dream up. *

-- This game's power-ups are incredibly lacking. Where is the innovation of Yoshi and the Cape from Super Mario World, or the Tanuki and Frog Suits from Super Mario Bros. 3? The Blue Shell power-up is interesting but incredibly rare, and the Mini and Mega Mario power-ups are sleep-inducing. It's nice to have the Fire Flower back, but that's really all this game brings to the table, and you can only shoot so many koopa troopas with fireballs before it gets tedious.

X3's still a good movie in its own right... I enjoyed it, though I can't help but think of how great the movie could have been if Bryan Singer didn't sign up to do Superman, or if Fox gave new director Brett Ratner more time to immerse himself into the material and complete the movie.

I watched the official and unofficial trailer for Superman Returns. I am seriously hyped for that movie. I think Kevin Spacey's gon na steal the show as Lex Luthor. I think I'm a little more hyped for that than X3.

Historical Quote of the Day "Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy. I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you 're no Jack Kennedy." -- Sen. Lloyd Bentsen (D-TX), in the 1988 vice presidential debate against Sen. Dan Quayle (R-IN), with one of the most memorable political lines ever spoken. Bentsen died yesterday.

One Bob Dylan turns sixty-five years old today. He can finally start collecting those Social Security checks and retire from neverending touring. And for those still curious about I'm Not There, the cast is shaping up: Dylan will be played by, at various times, Heath Ledger, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Williams, Christian Bale, Julianne Moore, and Richard Gere. So help me celebrate my hero's birthday! Riddle me this .... (I'm voting Ringo. But Bob's way cooler.)
