North on US-287 to Amarillo. Then US-87 and still north, just barely missing the Oklahoma panhandle. Across the northeast corner of New Mexico to US-64 in Raton, just before the Colorado border. Straight shot north through Colorado — try to miss rush hour in Denver. Cross the Wyoming border and into Cheyenne. Pick up US-20 near Casper and follow it west to the little town of Shoshoni, by the Boysen Reservoir. Then south for a change on US-26, just a hundred miles to go now to get to Riverton. Fourteen hours. If you don ’ t pay no mind to the speed limits.

Today I'm going to go see An Inconvenient Truth, and I'm dragging Fancypants or Miss S. along. Probably Fancypants. For those of you who don't know it's a movie that basically has Al Gore presenting to us about how all the polar bears are drowning and how in the next 100 years we 're all going to die from famine and war if we don't get it together... all thanks to global warming. I've seen doctumetaries recently before but not presented in such a shocking way. I'm also planning on going to see "Who Killed The Electric Car?" when it comes out next weekend..

Ok, Jack Black + Mexican wrestling = funny, right? WRONG. I made the unfortunate decision yesterday to go see Nacho Libre and I was bored out of my mind. The whole time I kept thinking to myself "This is a comedy, right?" I can't even remember the last time I went to the theater and spent the majority of the time wishing that the movie would just end already (actually, maybe Godzilla at the dollar theater was the last time). For those of you considering seeing it in the theater, or even renting it, or maybe even watching it on tv when it finally comes out... don't waste your time. Dear Jared Hess-napolean Dynamite was horrible. Nacho Libre was terrible. I will not be seeing any more of you movies. You suck. Best Wishes, Me

“ Earlier this year, after much soul searching, Kevin Richardson came to us and told us that he had decided to leave the group and pursue other interests. He gave his blessing to continue the music without him. We have no intention of replacing Kevin, and the door will always be open for him to return to the Backstreet Boys. We wish him the all the best in his future endeavors. This weekend we are returning to the studio to begin the follow-up to Never Gone, and will see you later this year with a new album. ” Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and AJ Mclean. Saw The Lake House today with and. It was absolutely beautiful. I've loved both Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock since Speed, and I think they've both grown since then. (And could Keanu be any more gorgeous?) The premise reminded me of an Audre Lorde poem I love. No spoilers. If you come as softlyas wind within the treesyou may hear what I hearsee what sorrow sees. If you come as lightlyas threading dewi will take you gladlynor ask more of you. You may sit beside mesilent as a breathonly those who stay deadshall remember death. And if you come I will be silentnor speak harsh words to you. I will not ask you why, now. Or how, or what you do. We shall sit here, softlybeneath two different yearsand the rich earth between usshall drink our tears.

Ok, pride is this weekend. I am so going. Now, my sister wants to go too, but here's the thing. I want to go to Pride and I DO N'T want to be bogged down by a minor little sister. I want to go and have fun with my friends and all that, because this is my first Pride. By the way, for those of you who don't know, I'm bi and I've never been to a Gay Pride Parade before and damnit, I want to have fun. Now, she's never been to a Pride before either, but she's not out of the closet so

Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) is a thirty-something New York architect trying to make partner of a firm, but his boss, Ammer (David Hasselhoff), abuses Michael ’ s talents by dangling the partnership over him like a carrot. The collateral damage in furthering his career is, of course, his loving wife Donna (Kate Beckinsale) and his two children; he ’ s never around for his family because of his work. During one fateful evening, Michael receives a universal remote control from a guy named Morty (Christopher Walken), a one-of-kind remote that, as Michael discovers, can pause or skip anything in his life. The problem is that, once the remote self-programs itself for the way Michael lives his life, there ’ s no going back to change anything he skips over …

The email is actually a forwarded original that included the text below and 3 photos attached. The quality of the photgraphs is relatively good although there is one, of Angelina holding Zahara, that looks just a tad too professional. -------------- Forwarded Message: -------------- From:...

I can not believe myself... I just watched Orlando Bloom on Jay Leno.'Why?'you may ask; well, I was staying awake, for I was awaiting a call-back from Greg who had, hours earlier, said he'd call be back after he removed his terribly warm coat upon returning to his dorm. I called his cell phone & left him a message saying I was worried & jokingly said that perhaps someone took his coat sleeve & strangled him to death, in which case, due to my message, I may be tied into the crime. Heh. I was concerned & using [sick] humor to make myself feel a tad bit better. Then I resorted to the television [sadly, [adult swim] doesn't air on Friday nights] & limited my worrying to occuring solely during commercial breaks. [har]

As always, from the RSS feed of VH1's BWE: American Idol Runner Up Cancels TV Appearances Katharine Mcphee's Idol Performances hosted at YSI for 7 days or 25 downloads, does not include the repeat performances of Black Horse and Rainbow. ~ ~ In other news, I hate to be cynical but my friend's sister is a music PR agent and she took quite the jaded approach to Kat's timing for the big bulimia shocker thing, seeing as her single's coming out in 3 days now.. but whatever, it's part of the business, I suppose. And I still feel bad for her, of course. And it sure explains the 30 pound loss during Idol! What do you guys think?

As a “ juror ” in the court of public opinion, I think Jonbenet Ramsey ’ s death was accidental and that Patsy Ramsey killed her. Jonbenet ’ s death is still unsolved, and unless John knows something and talks, it will probably remained unsolved. In 2004, John ran for office in Michigan. I blogged about the news and laid out my theory of the case in more detail.

In other celebrity news, Jessica Simpson is furious that her ex-husband Nick Lachey is back with MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo because they used to be good friends and the pop celebrity had reportedly choose Vanessa as confided when her marriage was in trouble. (What a child!) In top of all, Nick even picked Vanessa Minnillo to appear in his recent music video, “ What ’ s Left of Me ”, what I don ’ t understand why is Jessica so mad, after all she did ask the divorce.

The other big news making its way around the league is that Chris Pronger, one of the better players throughout the entire Stanley Cup playoffs, has requested a trade out of Edmonton. This wouldn't matter much here in NY, except for the fact that Sather has a history of dealing with the Oilers (hell, we lent them our rink), and the Blueshirts have made no secret of the fact they are in search of defensive help. Can Glenny get him on the cheap? We'll see. I am not in favor of trading youth at this point, as everyone knows, but let's see.

I was really tired, but I didn't want to go home. I payed 6 dollars for parking, I wasn't leaving that early. So I went the Barnes & Noble next door, looked at the books for a while. I was worried about the parking, though. See, they had this really complicated thing set up where you pay before and you get the reciept and do weird things with it, I don't know. So I was worried about it, like I always am, always worrying. I bought a little book. It's really little, its hardcover, one of those tiny Barnes & Noble editions of classics. The Picture of dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde. I went to Starbucks and bought something and sat down and read a little bit, but I couldn't concentrate. I only got through the introduction. I left, and just went home. And slept.

Indeed, although the couple still denies it { Source }, clearly it is only a matter of time before reps confirm that all my hopes have come to pass. Justin's progressed Moon right now is at 0 ° of freedom-loving Sagittarius (his natal Moon sign), within 1 ° of his natal Uranus, ruler of his Aquarius Sun. Maybe having his progressed Moon in Scorpio made Justin vibe better with Cam's Cancer Moon, also a water sign, but the transition to Sag and the conjunction with Uranus sent him scrambling for his personal freedom. ~ See Justin Timberlake's birth chart (Astrotheme) ~ See Cameron Diaz's birth chart (Astrotheme)

Outspoken Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen apologized Wednesday for using a derogatory term (fucking fag) in referring to Chicago Sun-times columnist Jay Mariotti, then kept up his criticism of the writer. Guillen said then, and again Wednesday, he has no problem with homosexuals, and mentioned cultural differences between the USA and his native Venezuela. He told the Sun-times the word in Venezuela is a reference to a man's courage, not his sexuality, adding he has gay friends, goes to WNBA games, went to a Madonna concert and plans to attend the Gay Games in Chicago.

The same goes for Michael Moore and Al Franken. You'd think that the group that these extremists claim to represent would step up and say "we don't support this nutjob", but i've realized that people don't do that.
