It's been a while, hasn't it? Anymoo, not much to say. I'm still working at The Source by Circuit City (formely Radio Shack). I'm still looking for a better job where I won't run the risk of becoming clinically insane. On another note, I finally caved in and bought myself a Nintendo DS Lite. But you know what? I don't regret it. xd It's an amazing piece of machinery and I'm in love with it! haha Now I understand why Joon and Daeya love theirs so much. Now back to my New Super Mario Bros game!

A near-infrared spectrophotometry study Effects of mobile phone type GSM 900mhz signals on the cerebral blood circulation were investigated using near-infrared spectrophotometry in a trial on 16 healthy volunteers. Borderline significant short term responses of oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin concentration were observed during exposure, corresponding to a decrease of cerebral blood flow and volume. These were smaller than regular physiological changes and these responses may be spurious and require further study. No dose-response relation or long term response was detected. Disneyland was so much fun. We arrived in Anaheim the day they had the Pirates of the Caribbean premiere and I was sad that we couldn't go see the movie, Johnny Depp, or Orlando Bloom. But we did go on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride which reopened the second day we were at the park and in the ride they have now added Captain Jack Sparrow three time and they even have Captain Barbosa and Davey Jones now.

Yesterday, we sort of impulsively decided to drive across Florida to try to see the space shuttle launch. One hour, we averaged 70 miles an hour. The next, the traffic was so jammed we only made it 10 miles in an hour! Then we had to have a long potty break for our sons... so we weren't on track to make it there in time, and it was just as well for us that they canceled the launch 10 minutes before the scheduled time. However, at the place on the highway where we were when we heard on the radio that it was canceled, there were cars lined up everywhere along the shoulder of the road, some with binoculars, so I'm assuming we could have seen something from there if it did happen!

Nanakyi -- A quizzy thingy... List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they 're any good, but they must be songs you 're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they 're listening to.1. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children OST -- Nobuo Uematsu: J-E-N-O-V-A AC version.2. Hinder - Get Stoned.3. Nightwish - 10th Man Down. 4. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children OST --- Nobuo Uematsu: Advent: One Winged Angel. 5. Nickelback - Savin'Me. 6. HIM - Beyond Redemption.7. Korn - Coming Undone. Most of these songs have something to do with my muses... Surprising? And Anyone who wants to do it can do it... I'm not in the mood to deal with Taggies today...

First of all, I would like to thank Manny Pacquiao for existing and having his match with Oscar Larios today. This assured that, despite last Friday being a payday, THE MALL WAS PRACTICALLY DESERTED TODAY and I was able to buy my goddamned red and peach shirts without having to fight through a crowd of people.

The New York Times has published photos of the vacation homes of Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, identifying the small Maryland town where they live, and in Rumsfeld ’ s case actually pointing out the location of a hidden security camera: Second Homes in St. Michaels, Maryland. (Hat tip: David Horowitz.)

"Thanks Allah, now I feel comfort. Multan, Pakistan - Fateh Mohammad, a prison inmate in Pakistan, says he woke up last weekend with a glass light bulb in his anus.... The doctor treating Mohammad said he'd never encountered anything like it before, and doubted the felon's story that someone had drugged him and inserted the bulb while he was comatose. And you thought this only happened in San Francisco.

Net neutrality hurts consumers, and Senator Ted Stevens (R-alaska) gets it completely: "I just the other day got, an internet was sent by my staff at 10 o'clock in the morning on Friday and I just got it yesterday. Why?" Huh? Enlightening audio of the entire Jabberwocky-esque speech here, as he "explains" why he voted against a proposal that would have required broadband providers to give their competitors the same speeds and quality of service as they give to themselves or their partners.

France won, Portugal won (much to my dismay). Oh well, it's over. Fuck. I'm tired. Just came back from the airport after meeting Ed. I don't feel like blogging, but I'm bored to tears. Wonder what I should be doing right now. Tutorials of course. Not in the mood. Sighssss... Surfing through Ballack's and Joe Cole's blogs, while desperately trying to look for Michael Owen's and Ronaldinho's (check Sunday Lifestyle). MSN spaces suck. It's all in Spanish or Brazillian now, and I can't read a thing without having to say "Whaaa??". Bottomline: Boredom sucks :( Hope I can get the phone cable soon, so I'll have photos to upload instead of clogging it in my phone. I need sleep desperately.. :(

. 2. I've been re-reading Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series, and my muse is sick and twisted, so naturally this is what I came up with. 3. Pretend that some of the characters from these three shows are shapeshifters --- leopards and wolves. 4. Since I've been inspired by a previously-created universe, some of the words and ideas I'm using have also been previously created (pards, the shifting process, etc.). 5. I've twisted some events around --- for instance, Kate Todd was on the Bartlet Administration's detail, not the Bush Administration; Simon Donovan is one of Jethro Gibbs'aliases; and so on. 6. If you don't like this, please don't flame me. I'm feeling silly and experimental. And... I just wanted to see if this could work.

Ah, the exposure of the SWIFT program is still bearing fruit. As Wizbang's own Lorie Byrd reported, the Saturday, July 1st number of The New York Times contains a nervous op-ed by Dean Baquet and Bill Keller, respectively the editor...

The biggest policy difference I have with Hillary Clinton - and its a big one - is on the Iraq War. On the flip side, I probably share a lot of her policy positions and I especially admire her ability to fight the noise machine - a skill the majority of Dems don ’ t have/don ’ t understand they need to have/don ’ t want to learn. That said, I am still suspicious of her ability to win a general election, but I think she could win the Dem nomination. Mark Penn and James Carville, members of the Democratic establishment, make her case in Sunday ’ s Post:

In response to the idea being advanced (by Michelle Malkin, Powerline, and David Horowitz) that an article on the Cheneys'and Rumsfelds'summer homes constitutes a "road map" for terrorist assassins and is a deliberate attempt to intimidate and retaliate against conservatives by the New York Times, Glenn Greenwald asks, That gave me a good laugh for about thirty seconds. Whoo. (Completely apolitical detail: Rumsfeld now owns the home which Frederick Douglass was a slave in, and escaped from at age sixteen. There are jokes I could make, but .... it's an apolitical point :))

Holy shit. The Bruins made off-season moves that might actually HELP the team. This hasn't happened since the 1973 season. Zdeno Chara in a Bruins uniform with Marc Savard centering... with Dave Lewis coaching. We may be able to build an actual team one of these days.

Not a bad choice, actually. The story was sweet, the animation clever and well done, and Larry the Cable Guy's rendition of Mater the tow truck (Tow Mater -- get it???) easily outclassed the combined efforts of Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt, Cheech Marin, George Carlin, AND Paul Newman.
