some insight into my boring-ass life: My review of UFC 61: I think Johnny Rotten said it best - "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated" Waste of money, and I'll leave it at that. Federer won his 4th Wimbledon in a row - pretty cool. Revenge for Roland Garros, I suppose. Italy won the World Cup. Tsk Tsk Zidane, for getting a bizarre red card. Pretty lame final. Found a source for leather in portland, i think - assist goes to Hall. Sweet... I can finally make my own "Bad Motherfucker" wallet now.. hahahaha. Also think I might have found a good source for gravers - so I can get my engraving on. Ordered some paint brushes today. My thirties are off to a banter start.

Zidane wins World Cup's best player award, despite red card This is unbelievable. Yet another example of how bad manners and poor sportsmanship gets rewarded rather than punished. The world is going to hell... and a rude one at that. Zidane wins World Cup's best player award, despite red card By JOHN PYE, AP Sports Writerjuly 10, 2006BERLIN (AP) -- France captain Zinedine Zidane, sent off for head-butting Marco Materazzi late in Sunday's World Cup final loss to Italy, won the Golden Ball award for the tournament's best player. Devil Wears Prada Challenge Quiz made by Me, who absolutely learned a lot from this movie. Meryl Streep is the Grand Diva and as always the consummate actor. I loved Stanley Tucci in his Tonto-esque role. Anne Hathaway did a wonderful and believable job. I wish I behaved as she did, in the role, when I was in my twenties. Of course, as with every twenty-something, I was an idealistic rebel without a cause. I recommended this movie to everyone who wants to succeed in corporate america. This should be a must-see movie in every business class.

So today was good. Good enough anyways. I didn't have to go to church, so that was great. Then we went and picked up Bud/Dimitri from church and went to the Sox game with Patra and my father. It was a great game. It was the bottom of the ninth, and Bud was all like, why are we still here this game is over!! (because the Red Sox were winning). Then Jermaine Dye homered and tied the game, so it went into extra innings. White Sox ended up winning 6-5 in the NINTEENTH inning. Wow. We didn't get to stay for the whole game, only fifteen innings. Because I had a Venture Crew meeting...

A US proposal that would give North Korea a promise of secure borders and no invasion in return for, first, a verifiable promise that it was not exporting nuclear technology, and second, a commitment to human rights, would help build upon the sunshine policy while challenging the supine leftwing in South Korea. Proponents of regime change will no doubt curse any such initiative, but they must consider that in their time, rather than undermine the North Korean regime, regime change has possibly strengthened Kim's rule and given him years to amass nuclear weapons and test his missiles.

Ok people, this is an awesome movie and a must see if you have any respect for the world. I know not all of you have heard of it so here is a little rundown. It's a documentary by Al Gore about Global Warming. It is excellent. Whether you like our ex-vp or not, what he says is fact and its sad and shocking to see, And really helps you to gain a better understanding of how quickly we 're destroying our planet. If you don't want to spend the money I will mail you 10 bucks to go. That is really how strongly I feel for this movie. So PLEASE, find out where it is playing and GO SEE THIS MOVIE.

Adam Corolla hangs up on Ann Coulter (click for audio) ADAM CAROLLA: Ann Coulter, who was suppose to be on the show about an hour and a half ago, is now on the phone, as well. Ann? ANN COULTER: Hello. CAROLLA: Hi Ann. You ’ re late, babydoll. COULTER: Uh, somebody gave me the wrong number. CAROLLA: Mmm … how did you get the right number? Just dialed randomly — eventually got to our show? (Laughter in background) COULTER: Um, no. My publicist e-mailed it to me, I guess, after checking with you. CAROLLA: Ahh, I see. Well, with Italy winning the World Cup today, Tommy Lasorda's prediction has come true: "Sunday night they'll be dancing in the streets of Rome. All over Italy, they'll be dancing the Tarantella and they 're going to be drinking the wine and they 're going to be eating the bread and they 're going to be busting all over with pasta." But as they pointed out in the Mercury News, this is different from a normal Italian Sunday how?

i shot the panic! at the disco show on friday night (with dresden dolls and the hush sound), and the dresden dolls were booed by the 14-year-olds who were not expecting their music. you should never boo anyone at a show ever. if you don't like the music, don't listen. hang out with your friends or talk to new people. any band, at any level, puts a lot of effort into performing at any show. the least you can do is let the (possibly few) people who want to listen to them or are open to new music do so without bringing down the whole night. those kids should be ashamed of themselves.

Federer won. yesss, even though i lovelovelove the cuteness that is Rafael Nadal. the cutest picture i've ever seen of roger federer, since i fell in love with him as he won us open 2004 vs. lleyton hewitt before my very eyes. also, to certain older sister's great, great lament fifa is overrrrrrrrrr. italy won, and the world shall be at peace for another four years.annnd, connecticon was (surpisingly?) fun, and made me feel so normal as my non-costumed self. took some very interesting pictures, unfortunately on my untransferable camera phone, and saw some even more interesting sights.must get beauty sleep -- senior portraits tomorrow. ttfn.

I've just watched The Christmas Invasion, New Earth and am in the middle of Tooth and Claw. Billie Piper is absolutely stunning since she's adorable, but more importantly... David Tennant is the best English actor ever. No doubt. He has been incredible, able to turn on a dime and endlessly funny and brilliant. He was great in the short The Traffic Warden, and is even better in Harry Potter 4. The Doctor is the best role he ever could have hoped for. It plays brilliantly to his strengths. Chris

Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock complete each other. He protects her, supports her; she brings out his lighter side, cares for him when he needs her most. They may not be romantically connected, but their bond is just as deep. Why are they not together? I'm not sure they need to be; their relationship as it stands right now is perfect.

Well... Bill Maher was really really funny and we had good seats. So I'm happy about that. Although, I've already heard at least half of his jokes that used tonight.. but nonetheless, they were his super funny jokes, so it worked. And... my seven piece harmonica set came in the mail yesterday, so I'm having fun with that as well.

Just a shout-out to my fellow Kathy Griffin "gays" (and non-gays, too!), the Larry King interview that was set to air last week is being showing this evening... Monday, July 10th (check your local listings/airs multiple times). CNN pre-empted that show after some rogue nation in southeast Asia decided to fire off some missiles. Go figure?!?

This film is a political thriller written and directed by Steven Gahan who also wrote Traffic. The film is made in the Robert Altman/Quentin Tarentino style of multiple but ultimately related story lines with multiple characters. However it parts company with these directors because it is made almost in a semi documentary style. Perhaps it could be called a docu-drama if it was not a work of fiction based loosely on a non-fiction book by a former CIA agent, Robert Baer. This is also a film where the story is paramount and not just a star vehicle for George Clooney, Matt Damon, Christopher Plummer or Amanda Peet.

Captain Hook. He also played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. I have been a fan for as long as I knew he existed to be fannish about. After watching Passionada I realized that I like him better when he plays evil, and now watching Brotherhood I realize that, even more than Hugh Laurie, Jason Isaacs needs his British accent. So I will watch more Brotherhood. It has the potential to be good, and while the pilot was quite violent, they didn't try to overdo it and cram a whole season's worth of storylines into one episode. I will report back next weekend.

I'm watching the DM Videos DVD and painting my nails at 8 in the morning. Good mornings. Bleached out the middle of my hawk last night... now it's a fiery light orange butressed by the platinum edges and sides. I'm quite fond of it... it will most likely stay at least a month. I'm feeling a bit of a creative slump. There is more that I am wanting to do with hair than what I am doing at the moment. I need to buy some heads and just mull over them for a while. And I miss doing color. A LOT. A WHOLE lot. And as an aside, it is Gale Harold's 37th birthday today. Happy birthday, Galey-poo. Oh, how the kids grow up .... Also, saw Strangers With Candy last night... LOVED IT. I adore Amy Sedaris, and Paul Dinello, and Stephen Colbert. Geniuses. The whole lot.

and so, the world cup ends. well, i'm actually not an avid soccer fan but i guess whenever the world cup comes around, it's fun to discuss tactics and the players, especially the players. i think it's a shame to see zinedine zidane getting the red card cos he lost his temper and head-butted Marco Materazzi in the chest. to end a career like that is simply not doing justice to all his previous achievements. ayes. i had hoped to see France win the world cup finals cos it'll be good to see zidane rounding up his soccer career with a big bang - the golden championship trophy of world cup 2006. nvm, he's still a legend and his footwork and command of the ball will still gain the respect of ppl all around. yay. go zidane go!

I watched the final match of the World Cup today. As an avid French fan, I was totally devastated by the loss not only of the Cup, but of a hero of mine in Zinedine Zidane. He lost his head, and football lost a leagend. Hopefully history will remember him for his accomplishments rather than his admittedly amazing head butt of Materazzi. I'll be honest, I cried today. To Les Bleus: vive le France and vive le Zinedine Zidane.
