Well, boys and girls, the comics are all up, and what's left to go to the gallery can wait'til I get back! I'm off to the International Comic Con in San Diego! If you 're going, I hope to see you there. Look for a short kid wearing a "Dead Squirrel Comics" t-shirt! (Also, I've been talked into cosplaying. A hint? I bought a bottle of green hair dye.;]) See you guys in a week!

Overall, I enjoyed the film. Johnny Depp stood out once more although Orlando Bloom did well too especially in the fighting scenes. (but no bows here ....). Keira Knightley also had more action scenes compared to the previous movie. AND the ending reveals what the next movie will be about.. So, pay attention.

Now, I know Shrubbo positions himself as a plain-talking Man of the People, but c ’ mon. You have Tony Blair, Prime Minister of the Second State of the Western World and just about the last reliable ally the United States has, hanging over your shoulder like a lap dog whilst you imperiously ignore what he ’ s saying in favor of blunt diktats? While also gnawing away on a buttered roll like a dog worrying a chew-bone?

- The new Rozerem ad (sleep aid) is twisted and bizzare, but in a thematicly appropriate way. I like it better than the Lunestra vampyric moth ad. - An article on a Kosher meat plant accused of abuses. (caution: not for the faint of heart, and those sensitive to the meat industry in general should be advised.) The whole thing offends me on so many levels. Not the least of which being Kosher is * supposed * to signify that the animals are treated in a more humane,'painless'process, and one would think that part of the Kosher process involves the saftey of the people. I don't usually post about this sort of thing, but I know the link will be of interest to several people on my FL. - Good-bye, Mike Hammer. Mickey Spillane dies at 88

I ’ ve heard some folks say that Kevin Spacey ’ s Lex Luthor was a bit two dimensional … but I disagree. He played it cold, calculating and perfectly megalomaniacal - a joy to watch. If there was any weak link in the film it ’ s the Kate Bosworth ‘ Lois lane ’ character - she just doesn ’ t do it justice.

This study is especially troubling after watching Al Gore ’ s An Inconvenient Truth the other night with Mink Hippie. The movie was terrifying and possibly the most important thing you will ever watch in a theatre. It doesn ’ t matter if you are on the left or the right, the information and the science in the movie are unargueable. So check out this statistic, look at the storms brewing in the atlantic, read about the tsunami in Indonesia, and then go watch an Inconvenient Truth.

Darren Hayes got married. To a boy! If this takes any Savage Garden fan by surprise, you haven't really been paying attention. I'm just happy that he finally told us what we already knew. Playing coy was getting old, Mr. Hayes.

Tom Cruise presented Steven Spielberg with The Golden Hugo Award at the 42nd Annual Chicago International Film Festival on Saturday. And because he's Tom Cruise he had to give Spielberg an awkward crotch hug instead of the socially acceptable chest hug. Does that make him gay? Of course not. The homosexual intercourse he has with men does. But not the hug. The hug just proves he enjoys touching his balls to another man's balls. And why wouldn't he? He's Tom Cruise. And I don't want to live in a world where Tom Cruise doens't love the feel of balls.

After only 3 years of Starjonesian wedded bliss, Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro have gone their separate ways. While the couple has no children, we can expect a bitter custody battle from Carmen as she tries to hold on to her Limited-edition Circularity, Pattern Pink, Smoke Ring and Darkspot, together with favourites Star Violet and Shimmermoss, luxuriously packaged with the 213 SE Eye Shadow Brush in a rectangular compact featuring Patternmaker's exclusive circle-patterned goldwork with jewel-coloured detail from MAC which she nearly lost once before during the separation from one night hubby Dennis Rodman.

I know I am way behind the rest of the world, but I just watched High School Musical. It made me want to sing. So I am. Right now. If I was an 11 year old girl, I would completely in love with Zac Efron. It also made me miss the good old days of "Brink!" and "Johnny Tsunami" and who could forget "Zenon"? That's all.

Fat Old Sun. mp3 Artist: Pink Floyd Description: This is one of Pink Floyd's lesser known songs, as it came a few years before the timeless Dark Side of the Moon. It has that distinctive Pink Floyd sound: fuzzy, surreal guitar work couple with Gilmour's soft vocals. This song makes me want to snogg a stranger. Sample Lyrics: Distant bells. New mown grass smells so sweet. By the river holding hands, Roll me up and lay me down. And if you hear, don't make a sound. Pick your feet up off the ground. And if you hear as the warm night folds -- the silver sound from a tongue so strange -- sing to me. Sing to me.

After Depp it is the production and special effects that make Dead Man ’ s Chest a visual treat. Davy Jones and his hencemen are wonderfully rendered as half man half sea creature while the native islanders are wonderfully grotesque in the style of Peter Jackson ’ s King Kong. The locations, sets, and costumes are all brilliantly brought together to create a beautiful spectacle.

So I was driving home from work today, listening to my random array of pop songs when my car's MP3 player begins to play Jessica Simpson's "I Wan na Love You Forever". Okay, yes I do play this song, and I yes I heart it. So that magical car makes me feel all happy and tingly inside. Yay a great 3 and a half minutes. Guess which song comes on next, guess. The MP3 player is on random shuffle by the way. Guess which song out of my plethora of songs plays? Oh nothing else but the Nick Lachey hit, "What's Left of Me". Kind of ironic considering the recent divorce proceedings eh? Okay so maybe the musical additions to the commute home do not sum up the marriage of Miss Simpson and Mr. Lachey, but I sure found it disgustingly amusing.

i Always thought Darth Vader was a bit of a pimp. He struts around the galaxy, in his cape, enforcing his will on the poor people of any planet he comes across. Well, this video proves it. Yes it ’ s another mash-up, but this time, they have replaced Vader ’ s vocals with with some of James Earl Jones ’ s vocals from other movies. And it works a treat. The problem conservatives have is: Where do we turn? Principled conservative aren't going to be able to find many palatable candidates offered by the party of Howard Dean, and staying home from the polls (or voting for a third party candidate) would only result in putting control things like spending and possibly the war on terror in the hands of people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

MORE RECENTLY, three men have tried to play the Israel card as a means of getting out of their respective tight corners: President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of the Islamic Republic, President Bashar Assad of Syria, and Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hizbullah. The reason is that these members of the triple alliance are under increasing pressure both from their domestic constituencies and from international opinion.

Hazleton City Council in Pennsylvania recently passed an ordinance called the Illegal Immigration Relief Act which imposes $1,000 fines on property owners for each illegal immigrant renting and denies licenses to businesses who employ illegal immigrants. Nowhere is race mentioned. It would have no effect on Hispanics who are legal U.S. residents, so it clearly does NOT discriminate on the basis of race.

Let me see; the first one has talk of Ernie ’ s sexual orientation, and how one cherishes a girl, and the second has talk of jealousy and kissing. I think that covers the facts of life, really. Ernie and Tracey have a cute if slightly awkward talk, and Theo once again pops up!

Hillary Clinton, following a fundraising breakfast thrown for her by Rupert Murdoch, defended Israel's war crimes at a rally today. I haven't decided who's dumber. Clinton for believing she's being groomed for anything other than the candidate most likely to lose or Bush Junior for believing he's a grasp on anything besides the rails of the trough in which he dwells.

In a bit of a surprising scheduling, albums by Taylor Hicks, Katharine Mcphee, and Kellie Pickler will all be released on the same date: November 14th. This is somewhat surprising because usually the American Idol winner is given something of a headstart before any other of the idols release their albums not in this case. Chris Daughtry who has been signed by the same management agency as the other above singers will have his album released in the fourth quarter but not firm date announced. One question is where is Elliott Yamin in all of this? Still no contract ergo no album.

I've booked my flight. Woot!! 11 days from today, I'll be on my way to seeing the boy, and visiting with him for a week. * Maid Marion voice * I'm so happy.;) Bought a new book today to read on my travels, Death of a Darklord by Laurell K. Hamilton. This lovely lady is also the author of the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series, that I've read a few of and really like. I still need to read the Merry Gentry series, though. The book is being put away, so I'm not tempted to read it. I must hoard moneys until then. I'm doing pretty good so far, but with payday coming up on Friday, I'll be adding a little more to the bunch I have. Ah, paid day off tomorrow. I'll be enjoying it and slacking off, just a little bit more than I do with my regular days off.;)

I do not own Harry Potter, I do not own the main characters of this fan fiction (Ginevra Weasley, Draco Malfoy) nor do I own any other characters mentioned (Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Blaise Zabini). The song used ('Sand in my Shoes'by Dido) is not mine, and is property of Dido and her record company, etc. This song fic (plot included), though, belongs to me. I have no intention to see this fan fiction published, nor would I ever consider it. Any use of this fan fiction by any person excluding myself is prohibited.

Just read a really nice IGN interview with Matt Stone and Trey Parker. As most of you probably know, I really loathe Family Guy, and seeing the SP episode where those guys tear it down was extremely validating. Even moreso was this quote from the interview: Trey Parker: What I can tell you that was pretty interesting, was the day after [the'Cartoon Wars'] episode aired, we got flowers from The Simpsons. We got calls from King of the Hill, saying we were doing God's work. It's not just our opinion. Damn straight. - a
