Steve Irwin killed in stingray attack Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin has been killed in a stingray attack near Cairns on Australia's far north coast. It was believed Irwin had been swimming off the coast of Cairns when he was stung. "It is understood he was killed by a sting-ray barb that went through his chest," Brisbane's Courier Mail reported this afternoon. Irwin was best known for his documentary series "The Crocodile Hunter". (Read More)

Yep, it's another tennis season. I haven't been blogging about the 2006 US Open since I have been studying. But, I just have to blog about Andre Agassi. Today, he officially retires from tennis after being beaten by a relatively unknown German, a certain Benjamin Becker. Agassi was beaten by his chronic back pain (Sciatica) more than B. Becker's tennis. Just wanted to say my farewell to a legend. You've made tennis more exciting! Oh, I just want to post this:

I wish I had something worthwhile to update about but it's been a boring motherfucking Labor Day weekend, so, ehhh. * Yesterday: missed the game by means of having to work. * Today: saw CRANK (fucking AWESOME, like I'm not even joking); saw IDLEWILD (not all that bad, really... disjointed, a narrative mess but well-acted and with a lot of ridiculously great moments); saw THE WICKER MAN (overwhelmingly ridiculous, hilarious in the worst type of way... damn you, Nicolas Cage, for proving me wrong AGAIN). But I'm serious. CRANK kicks ass.

The film we saw was The Illusionist, directed by Neil Burger, starring Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti, Jessica Biel and Rufus Sewell. It was based on a short story by Steven Millhauser, the author of one of my favorite books Martin Dressler: The Tale of an American Dreamer.

We went to the drive-in movies last night and saw Barnyard and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. I could rant for hours on the fact that the bulls in Barnyard had udders, but something else gathered more of my attention. During intermission, they played a few old movie trailers from the 50's, 60's and 70's just for fun. One word: Pufnstuf. I wish my name was Witchiepoo. Just. Wow. You need to see the trailer. It was stoned. And Oliver!, I swear, is everywhere.

At times like these, she wished there were someone who could explain things to her. She wished she could talk to Hermione Granger, or maybe Ginny Weasley. Ginny knew about being a girlfriend (well, maybe not about being the girlfriend of an ambi-sexual Metamorphmagus whose gay, pathological, werewolf ex-boyfriend was coming to stay). Hermione knew about everything else.

Draco Malfoy: Wants to be able to express himself like you. He wishes he didn't have to care what other people of him and could just say "I don't give a fuck," with as much ease as you do. Crabbe: Is attracted to your bright hair and clothes. Goyle: Likes your really long eye lashes. Pansy Parkinson: Wishes she had beauty like yours. Marcus Flint: Likes your taste in music (electronic, indie, alternative) and almost mustered up enough courage to ask you to a concert. Blaise Zabini: Is one of your other closest friends because you got him to open up. He confessed everything to you and even cried a little on your shoulder, and you two are the best of friends.

Yesterday night I finished The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I found it quite a good read, witty and perfectly composed. I must say I envy mr. Wilde's style and talent. Who wouldn't want to be such a good writer. Don't know much about the material though... It's quite obscure, pretty hermetic... Mr. Wilde left quite a few details to the imagination, but I guess that has its charm as well. And I better get used to this kind of writing, because my master thesis concern the works of H. P. Lovecraft. Next read: a novella by Robin Hobb. (Forgot the title...) Cross-posted in:, and

Nothing much happened today. Was so tired after school. Took a short nap. After that, it was TV time for me. I got to watch Da Vinci Code at discovery channel. It was some documentaries to the contrary of Dan Brown's controversial best-selling fiction "Da Vinci Code". It got something to do with breaking codes. Dan Brown Is stupid but ppl still got shaken by his stupid creation. He's just a normal writer who is smart at mixing up his own facts and some historical events and called it Da Vinci Code. Funny indeed. Had my dinner at Fettes Park with my deary mom. Cordon Bleu has always been one of my favourites. I just can't live without western food.sometimes my mom will just stop be from taking all those cheesy stuffs. Cuz it causes me to get overheat and sick follows. Cheesyyyyyy!

, etc.17) Sewingi also managed to make a stockinette mitered square! It involves slightly more decreasing but I think it will look okay once I'm working with wool (more elastic) on smaller needles, in the actual size I want to make the square (rather than starting with only 20 stitches just to get the idea). Woot! Side Note: Every horrible & embarassing moment in the Bridget Jones movies is completely compensated for by watching Colin Firth chase Hugh Grant around a fountain and attempt to fight with him. Totally worth it, my belly still hurts I laughed so hard.

I can ’ t believe this Steve Irwin has died today; a Sting Ray killed him. Now out of all the animals this guy has faced crocodiles, snakes, komodo dragons and dangerous insects out of all the dangerous animals he faced a fish killed him. But still I loved it when he jumped in water and wrestled crocodiles this guy had balls to do crazy shit like that. Everybody loved that crazy Australian bloke and the stuff he did to make us understand more about dangerous animals. While Steve-o and Chris ’ s Wildboys on MTV may be good for a laugh in my view Steve Irwin was the real wildboy. Steve Irwin R.I.P.K eep on wrestling those crocs in heaven.

Well, I guess we knew this day would come. Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin was killed by somemarine wildlife while on a dive recently. Considering the chances he took, I guess there's a sense that he had it coming. I feel bad for his wife, Terri.

Steve Irwin is dead ..................... The Crocodile Hunter is gone ...................... I'm shocked ............... This what the news says what happened: "Irwin was fatally pierced in the chest by a stingray barb off the Great Barrier Reef in Australia while filming an underwater documentary. After he was stung, his crew called for medical help and the Queensland Rescue Helicopter responded, taking him to Cairns Base Hospital. However, Irwin was pronounced dead at the scene." No more "Struff that was a close one", "Ga Day Mate" and "Crikey!" ................ Nature documentaries are now going to be really dull ...................... R.I.P Steve Irwin ...............
