For some time, the way the Democratic party has reacted to the right has been akin to a battered wife. They call us terrorists, appeasers, and worse yet there are some Democrats who want to "go back" to some mythical era of bipartisanship that never existed. In the mainstream press, this bizarre "why don't you love me?" mindset also exists. Witness Rush Limbaugh saying Katie Couric should be hit by a bus, then a few days later CBS Evening News begs him to come on unopposed to spew propaganda.

This year though, a few teams didn't go so easy on their players. Notre Dame went against giant killer Georgia Tech, and Cal immediately went on the road against Tennessee and ran into a buzz saw. As a result, any numbers put up by players in those games are even more impressive.

Stupid A **! Today is a perfect example of why I hate Jenks and wish he wasn't on the White Sox, or at least not the closer. Everytime there's an essential game, he ALWAYS f *** s it up! I've never thought he deserved the closer role and he just proved it today. Poor, Garland! He was going to have 17 wins, the most in the AL! Grrrrr! And the Red Sox deserved to lose! They pitched to Crede over Anderson! Yes, I love Anderson and would've had faith in him, but Crede is so great in the clutch! If they were stupid enough to pitch to him, resulting in the 2-1 lead, they deserved to lose! Stupid Jenks lost our wildcard slot now. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's go Vazquez tomorrow!

As international pressure over their nuclear program mounts, the Iranians have become increasingly bellicose toward the U.S. and Israel. On Monday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Israel was a “ fake regime ” that “ can not logically continue to live. ” On Wednesday, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran ’ s supreme leader, warned that “ if the U.S. ventured into any aggression on Iran, Iran will retaliate by damaging the U.S. interests worldwide. ”

Moveon.org, a central pillar of the sinister Shadow Party, was instrumental in advancing hard-left stooge Ned Lamont at the expense of the relatively responsible Joe Lieberman. Possibly unaware that George Soros is himself Jewish by birth, his creepy Moveon minions have been trashing Lieberman for being a Jew. Anti-lieberman posts on a Moveon.org board have included such endearments as "Zionazis," "Jew Lieberman," and "media owning Jewish pigs." One moonbat wondered, "Why are the Jews so Jew-y?"

In his first and perhaps only debate with Democratic challenger Bob Casey Jr., Santorum lived up to his reputation as a feisty, unapologetic "conservative," even though it has caused him problems in moderate-voting Pennsylvania. For the two years prior to her outing, Valerie Wilson worked to gather intelligence that would support the Bush White House's assertion that Saddam Hussein's Iraq was loaded with Wmds. This means that Armitage -- as well as Karl Rove and Scooter Libby -- leaked classified information about a undercover CIA officer whose job it had been to look for evidence of Saddam's WMD programs. Any irony here? During this part of her career, Valerie Wilson traveled overseas to monitor operations she and her staff at JTFI were mounting.

Today, a new excerpt of the book discloses what Valerie Wilson did at the CIA.

After the Carnegie Deli, we went back to the room and changed into our theatre clothes. Then I walked Amy to the Gershwin Theatre on 51st Street for Wicked and continued on to the Shubert Theatre on 45th to see Spamalot. Amy really enjoyed the show, though she said it had a bit of a slow start. Spamalot was very entertaining, and borrowed heavily from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, as expected. It also made fun of musical theatre and Broadway in general with a song called "You won't succeed on Broadway if you don't have any Jews." I didn't know whether to be offended or laugh, so I laughed.

The newest Quinnipiac poll indicates that most people either don't know Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid (the wan na be majority leaders), or if they know them they don't think much of them (from Political Wire): Other Dems aren't distinguishing themselves much better. I caught some film of Chuckie Schumer with one of those patented stand-up charts giving the Bush administration grades on various elements related to the war on terror and Iraq. The overall grade was a C -, though Chuckie left one important item off the chart: Preventing Attacks on the Homeland. That item would have been an A + and would have swung the curve dramatically upward. The Dems don't want to talk about that.

If you know anything at all about fantasy football, you know that my last sentence was the equivalent of “ I hit a massive gold mine ”. I rode these three to the championship, and without meaning to brag at all, I think I had perhaps the most stacked team in our league in recent memory. Unfortunately, I made a deal mid-year which resulted in my sending a player to be named later to another coach, and that player ’ s name turned out to be … Larry Johnson. Yikes.

More than normal journalistic pride may be involved here. Enderlin ’ s news report was consistent with his stated overall view of the Middle East conflict. In his 2003 book, Shattered Dreams, he places the blame for Oslo ’ s failure squarely on Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and U.S. President Bill Clinton, effectively absolving the Palestinians of responsibility. The same interpretation is, of course, shared by virtually the entire French intellectual and political elite, and endorsed by influential print media like Le Monde, Le Monde Diplomatique, Le Nouvel Observateur, and Télérama.
