Yoga helps reduce anxiety in your body, grow joint mobility, ease lower back pain by empowering the spine. Yoga not only builds your body strong but as well improves your digestion system, immune system, endocrine system and increases blood circulation.

on a lighter note, singapore idol finals are on tonight. jonathan leong and hady mirza. well, personally, i'll have to say i'll pick jonathan cause he's got a little more edge eh? but don't we all agree that that both of them are equally good and talented? my dad says that hady already has a professional name. the name hady mirza already has a ring to it. yeah, true but what's in a name? in the end, its the talent that counts. well, results will be out tomorrow and singapore will have a second idol. previously, i thought that singapore is actually too small a country to have more than one idol. but hey, all in the name of entertainment, the search of the second idol was on.

So the story, or the symbolism at any rate, used in traditional Judaism explaining the High Holy Days is that at the head of the year Hashem opens the Book of Life and inscribes who will live and who will die in the next year, who will have fortune or misfortune, etc. I refer you to the rather depressing prayer we say only on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur -- although I don't particularly care for this translation -- and the Leonard Cohen song inspired by it. I don't think I've ever met a Jew who took that really seriously, but there is a lot of writing and death going on. I'd never really thought about it in these terms before, but it came to my mind as I was walking down the hill and it certainly seems consistent with Jewish tradition. There's a part at the beginning of Milan Kundera's

On Friday night I went to watch a movie, have you heard about it? it's "an inconvenient truth" by and with Al Gore, about the Global Warming. It's quite frightening but also makes you realize what's going on, the temperatures only increasing, the ice melting even in the Arctic... It's a bit too much personal or very oriented like "you should have voted for me!!!"... but it's overall a good movie I think.

ABC's Jake Tapper interviewed Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of the sleazy cartoon "South Park" for Friday's "Nightline." It's been "vilified as crude, disgusting, and nihilistic." Actually, it may be calmly, dispassionately, almost scientifically decribed as crude, disgusting, and nihilistic. But Tapper elicited some interesting commentary on how which religions can be mocked:

Good Morning Everyone - hope you 're all enjoying your Sunday. although I missed the game, my Michigan Wolverines did defeat Wisconsin - I doubt they'll move around in the polls, but we'll see. unfortunately, Ohio State beat Penn State late and I wonder if Penn State will move up in the polls. Ohio State will probably stay # 1 - though I don't think they deserve it. My Giants are playing the Seattle Seahawks today, I'm not sure how that game will end up, but I'll be watching. L ast night, I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail with Katie. I had never actually seen it before, but now I am really happy she showed it to me. We were cracking up so bad that we actually were rolling around and had to pause the movie. My sides still hurt. Then I came home and saw The Benchwarmers. It's not as funny as Holy Grail, but I split my already injured sides a lot. All I can say is that good movies... rock! I slept really well last night. It seems that whenever Katie and I hang out, I have a really great time. I hope we will see each other more often.

Fresh from college, Andy (Anne Hathaway) gets a job working as a personal assistant to the most powerful woman in fashion, magazine editor Miranda Priestly. Miranda has the power to unlock Andy ’ s dream of becoming a journalist just with a phone call. So she endures the increasingly hellish struggle to meet her boss's erratic and demeaning requests finding herself being sucked into the increasingly allusive yet empty glamour industry that could ultimately claim her soul.

The movie stars Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti with support from Jessica Biel as the beloved. The movie was highly enjoyable. The cinematography was lovely, although there was an overuse of CG that rendered certain scenes a little grainy. For example, the scene with the orange tree is visually pleasing and entertaining, but the tree itself is so obviously generated that it takes something away from the experience. The idea, filing, and overall effect of the scene is, however, worth the effort.

Keith Olbermann: “ There needs to be an apology from the President of the United States. And more than one. But, Mr. Bush, the others - for warnings unheeded five years ago, for war unjustified four years ago, for battle unprepared three years ago - they are not weighted with the urgency and necessity of this one. We must know that, to you, thought with which you disagree - and even voice with which you disagree and even action with which you disagree - are still sacrosanct to you. ”

Complaints about the idolization of role models who suggest unhealthy lifestyles are culturally endemic. Celebrities like Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Mischa Barton have all been subjects of tabloid headlines asking, "Are they too thin?" In all likelihood, the answer is yes, but that does not stop magazines from displaying their pictures or, likewise, designers from casting thin models in their shows.

Hollywoodland was really good. It moves at a moderate pace, but what else is to be expected of a murder mystery? So okay, I was really surprised by Ben Affleck's performance. Good stuff. Adrien Brody was hot as always and was constantly drunk. But yeah, it's good, go see it. * will do research on the murder/suicide of George Reeves later*p. S. Going to movies by yourself sucks. It was me and five middle-aged women in that theatre. P.P.S. David quit work, Bobby's going into management and probably to another store, I never work with Crystal or Bill anymore, and I think Tausha's going to be fired. Work will no longer be fun. * sigh *

- Mets 12, Nationals 6: What's left for the Mets this season? All they have to do is rest their regulars, fine tune their starting pitching (no crying in baseball, right?), and figure out who their first round opponent. Last night, potential fourth starter, John Maine took the mound and didn't look all that impressive - not the best way to earn a spot in the starting rotation. Maine allowed four runs over five innings, but still picked up the win thanks to a six run 5th inning when the Mets batted around the lineup. Jose Reyes and David Wright both had 3 RBI in the win. Unfortunately for the Nationals, Nick Johnson broke his femur in the 8th inning when he collided with Austin Kearns.

The next scene that is most interesting in regards to Mr. Collins is when he first eats dinner with the Bennet family. Mr. Collin ’ s tells Mr. Bennet about his patroness Lady Catherine de Bourgh and her daughter who he likes to give constant compliments. The most laughable part is when Mr. Bennet asks Mr. Collins if these compliments are from previous study or come at the moment. This I found establishes how little social grace that Mr. Collins possesses given that he responds that most of the compliments he creates before hand instead of spare the moment. The next moment that he really makes a social mistake is when he introduces himself to Mr. Darcy. This was done even though he was warned not to be Elizabeth.

That disaster might have been mitigated if our leaders had not dismissed the whole episode as a triviality. But Donald Rumsfeld likened the chaos to the aftermath of a soccer game and joked that television was exaggerating the story by recycling video of a single looter with a vase. Gen. Richard Myers defended our failure to intervene as'a matter of priorities'(we had protected the oil ministry). Lt. Gen. William Wallace, countering a wildly inflated early claim by a former museum employee that 170,000 artifacts had been destroyed, put the number of objects still unaccounted for at'as few as 17.'(The actual number was closer to 14,000.)
