Enter a kindhearted, public relations man named Ray (Jason Bateman), whose life Hancock saves. This article argues that a neume fragment found in the famous ‘ Durham Cassiodorus ’ (Durham, Cathedral Library, Ms.b.ii.30) may date from the first half of the 8th century. As part of this argument, I suggest the possibility of notated music in Anglo-saxon England prior to the 10th century. Since the Durham Cassiodorus was likely read by Alcuin of York who played an important part in the Carolingian liturgical reform, the Durham Cassiodorus neume fragment may be linked to Alcuin and to what Kenneth Levy has called a ‘ Carolingian archetype ’, that is, a now-lost antiphoner with music compiled around 800. Other unreported English neume fragments found in the 8th-century ‘ Tiberius Bede ’ (London, British Library, Cotton Tiberius c.ii) are presented here.

Atlanta has had enough of Jeff Francoeur ’ s struggles and have sent him to double-a to work out the bugs. Jason Perry will be called up to replace Frenchy in the Braves outfield. Perry should put up nice numbers at first, but will struggle as soon as teams get enough info on him to figure out his weaknesses. If you need a week or two of an outfielder, Perry might be a nice pickup. In the meantime, Frenchy becomes a trade target in keeper leagues. Maybe his owner will have become weary of his struggles like the Braves did.

Bob Geldof is to endorse David Davis's protest against the Government's erosion of civil liberties. Geldof is a close ally of Gordon Brown on tackling poverty and repression in Africa, but he will join the former Tory frontbencher on the campaign trail in the Haltemprice and Howden by - election. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is a genre film. A simple, sweet, teen-comedy that marks the debut of Aamir Khan ’ s nephew Imran Khan. Unlike his uncle ’ s debut in the classic QSQT, which had women across India writing love notes to Aamir in their blood, Imran ’ s beginning will probably not generate THAT sort of frenzy.

Cleveland dumped Joe Borowski. He has struggled mightily, but held the closer role anyway. The Indians have had enough and have cut him loose. In his place, a closer-by-committee approach will be used, but look for Masahide Kobayashi to get the bulk of the saves and Rafael Betancourt might steal a few until things shake out. Borowski should not be on any fantasy team ’ s roster and you should seek a replacement immediately as it is not worth keeping him to see if he ’ ll land another gig somewhere else.
