Sequels are always a crap shoot as to how well they will be written as there's always a question whether they even need to be made in the first place, but Guillermo del Toro succeeds with flying colors. Not only does he deliver a visual feast that will leave viewers breathless with his creativity, but he also writes a great script that manages to develop the characters even further than the first film. Del Toro is this generation's Jim Henson, creating monsters and creatures unlike any ever seen on screen before. It reminded this reviewer of Labyrinth in some ways. The recent custody settlement between Britney Spears means payday for Kevin Federline and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan. Under the terms of the settlement, Kfed will be getting more child support. Currently, he pulls $15,000 a month from Britney. Under the deal, he ’ ll get just a little below $20,000. As for the lawyer, Kaplan who wanted a trial last month will now settle and get an additional $200,000 from Britney. The court has officially vacated the trial date even though the papers weren ’ t filed yet. The real headline is that there will no longer be a trial. Britney has since double her time with her kids since she was placed under conservatorship anyway.

, a blockbuster film that contains depth and operates with true intelligence that makes one truly think of what it means to be good and the moral ambiguities that come along with it. This film will and should go down as a classic, and Heath Ledger definitely deserves an Oscar nod for his portrayal of The Joker – though the screenwriters (director Christopher Nolan and brother Jonathan Nolan) also deserves recognition for giving Heath such astounding material with which to work. Last must not least, recognition must be given to James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer for producing a genuinely chilling and effective musical score. This is a must see film.

- This is from the movie "Camp Rock" (The Jonas Brothers are in this movie). I already watched the movie and it was great. It is like Highschool Musical but it is about some Camp. This song is sang by Demi Lovato (she's in the movie too). This an acoustic version of the song, it was suppose to be a duet between Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas. I can relate to this song. OK Hairspray. 2007. I said I'd never see it, and I owe John Waters an apology for that. I decided to give it a shot, it was free On Demand tonight. It was well worth a watch, if only for an absolutely stellar cast. Although John Travolta in a dress, with a Baltimore accent... is kinda scary. Queen Latifah is PERFECT for Motormouth Maybelle. And Zac Efron, who normally I think looks like a muppet, is pretty damned adorable in this movie. Honestly, great soundtrack, great cast. All in all, 2 thumbs upfor an updated, musical version of a John Waters classic!

The last bit of the movie did not sit well with me and I did not expect it to end when it did. I can ’ t really elaborate on it without it being a spoiler so I will leave that for a follow up so EVERYONE can see it first. But do not let that ruin your hopes for this film (assuming you live under a rock and haven ’ t already seen it). This is a fantastic movie and will go down as one of the BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIES ever. Heath Ledger ’ s Joker, along with Christian Bale ’ s Batman, will go down as some of the BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE CHARACTER PERFORMANCES ever. And Christopher Nolan will go down as THE SAVIOR OF THE BATMAN FILMS.

The power of that opening scene comes in so small part from the introduction of the Joker (Heath Ledger), a make-up clad nut job who seems to have a counter-intuitive agenda of cutting the legs out from under the organized crime bosses of Gotham City. And he isn ’ t the only one. The new District Attorney, Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), has joined forces with the Batman (Christian Bale) and Captain James Gordon (Gary Oldman), who are doing everything in their power to do away with the city ’ s mobsters as well.

Heath Ledger ’ s portrayal of The Joker is very impressive, yet horrifying. Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Two-face was good too. My parents didn ’ t like Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes - they didn ’ t think she was pretty. Some part of the story is very cruel and that left me in a pensive mood for a while after that. You get to see Batman ’ s vulnerability in the movie and Christian Bale made that rather unforgettable.
